Youre just jealous because you just sacrificed your warden for god & country (leading to a dead-end) and now we dark ritualists get a chance to exercise our fetishes once more... :wizard:

Well what about smart people like me who sacrificed Alistair or Loghain? The Archdemon is dead, We're still alive and we don't have to pay child support. Awesome.

I like Morrigan. But a whole game revolving around her would be a bit tedious (unless I was obsessed which explains a lot of things about the people who are requesting for such an installation, perhaps? dun dun dunnn).

The DLC should be more than enough, though now that we have done both Leli and Morrigan hopefully DA will also have Zevran, Sten and Alistair DLCs. Girls play DA too dontcha know.

You can't make a game based on a choice in a previous game that some people did not choose. You couldn't design Dragon Age 3 or a DA Morrigan spinoff around the god baby story because some people didn't choose to do it. Otherwise you've just completely killed player's agency regarding one of the most important decisions in the game. And from everything BioWare's said, they aren't particularly fond of squashing your decisions.

Besides, the Morrigan/god baby story, to me, is not nearly as interesting as people make it out to be. In Witch Hunt, if she gives me good reason to I won't hesitate from ripping my claymore through her from shoulder to hip. Let's see how she likes a bit of Holy Smite in the face.

I am not suggesting that the DR story is incredibly interesting. All I am saying is that you would think a god being born (or not) would impact a lot of things.

I really don't want to see her again past the DLC. However, I'm sure that's not going to happen so I'm not going to stress it.

Whatever outcome is reached in this Witch Hunt DLC is going to be fine with me. I just hope I can see this child and find out what she's going to do with it. Those are the only answers I want out of it.

The problem with the child is that it is not cannon. There is no default choice as that would take away from everyone who did not knock her up.

That is like saying that the default should be that the male warden was gay and stayed with Zev, Or the werewolves slaughtered the elves, The mage circle was wiped out completely, the urn of sacred ashes was kept secret, etc. No one choice has more weight than another.

No way does Morrigan deserve her own game. She was an interesting and occasionaly amusing companion. But not worthy of a whole game about her. Although, she probably did enough to be included in DA2, not just a DLC

Morrigan was personally my least favorite character...

She's just all around a bad person, she's hard to please (not that I'd care to), and her voice...

No thank you.

I'm probably in the minority here, though.

I played an evil character... And I still didn't like her.

I mean with Zevran and Shale, they just back you up when you do evil stuff. Morrigan though just gives off the impression of telling me to be evil her way.

Bioware are more clever than that. If this should happen, I think it should be more about Her Son/Daughter, or if not have an expansion for them. David Gaider is a master at stories. I'm sure he can make a story about cookies and still make it look (and smell) good.

Bah, Zevran was against slaughtering Dalish, and Shale was against killing Caridan. But I killed them all the same. Just so they know. Also, wanted to kill Arl Eamon and his hobo beard, but never had the chance.
Morrigan on the other hand approves when you humiliate people and being a villain for the sake of evilness.

Morrigan deserves a dagger into her heart, not her own game... I mean, she was such a boring character! If someone deserves his own game or just a DLC, then it is Zevran (so we could see Antiva, to "live" among the assassins) and Sten (I personaly find Qunari extremely interesting).

LOL. Well morrigan was an awesome character to me. she was one of the most interesting characters to me in dragon age, however i dont think she fits the protagonist role very much.

Thing is just you can be nice and still be Morrigan's best friend/lover. I always chose hero options but I could make up her disapproval with pretty presents. I wish you could always change a girl's mind with presents, would make things so much easier.

That's just it, though.  A tsundere is, at their heart, a vulnerable, multifaceted creature.  They are always predictably angry, yes, but that hides a vulnerable, sweet girl within.

Morrigan is just a quieter, more spiteful hag wrapped within a louder, more destructive hag.  Her idea of opening up with you is asking you to kill her mother.

This description just made my day, not often something I read on these forums actually make me laugh!

I personally always found she kind of kicked the tsundere part out largly in favour of being the token evil teammate (seeing as she tends to approve of the worst acts on principle, even if something closer to a "good act" would be more beneficial, rather than actually follow any kind of pattern as could be viewed in how she tends to speak about things such as power and survival)
She essentially plays a lot like a "For the Evulz" character, which I find a bit jarring.

So yeah, all in all, I do not quite get her character. Or, well, I get it in theory, but in implementation not really.

I find it interesting how many of the people that seem so passionate about hating Morrigan call her a boring, poorly developed or poorly written character. If she is a poorly developed character why do people love or hate her so much? Seems to me she was designed to be polarizing and whether you love her or hate her the character left an impression and that is the mark of a good character in any story.

You may hate her (fair enough) but saying she wasn't a good character is a bit of a stretch. DA has some of the best NPCs of any RPG, the sheer volume of discussion and passionate differences of opinions about the NPCs is proof of that.

I will give you this: She is one of the most well-written single-minded sociopathic simpletons ever conceived by BioWare. I give both praises and curses to BioWare for creating such a malicious **** and then denying us the ability to kill her and dump her body in the swamps.

In the latest build the driving talent tree is still broken, for some reason no matter how many points I spend in it, Morrigan doesn't get any better.

It is a little odd that Bioware is rushing through DLC like this when DA:O isn't even a year old from release yet, steamrolling onwards towards a sequel only a year a quarter after the first game. The plot behind Morrigan and the Dark Ritual had such potential, I'm not sure they will be able to live up to it in a DLC. Hopefully they will. I'll wait to pass judgement on this one. It feels odd that a company rushes out all it's DLC for a game in less than a year after release and moves to the sequel. Most developers slowly release DLC or expansions over several years to extend the life of their product and to spend more time on the DLC/expansions.

Actually, a stem game would be awesome - It'd be a diablo style ARPG where you slaughter endless hordes of things with one badass guy.

As for the toolset - too much work.
