We've been floating around for quite some time now, though I haven't advertised the mod here on the social network yet. We have a project you can keep your eye on:
http://social.biowar...m/project/3031/

The mod isn't done yet, though we are slowly getting there. Now, on too the recruitment call.

Mod Summary:
Ex Scientia Vera is a horror / mystery PW in an entirely new, fictional setting. It borrows heavily from the writings of H.P. Lovecraft, as well as the Call of Cthulhu pen and paper game. The emphasis will lie mainly in investigation, exploration and of course Role playing in a rather unique setting.

Features:
- Ruleset Change:
Characters focus more on skills (combat, crafting, spells, etc.) rather then abilities and there is no such things as levels. Instead, skills improve the more you use them and certain special abilities can be learned from NPCs or unlocked through quests. As the system has become percentile based, the main dice roll is no longer a d20, but a d100.

- Occupations:
Rather then being forced to stick to a class (or classes) you start with an occupation instead. An Occupation simply determines what skills you put skill points in first. If you or your character is tired from the current occupation they are doing, nothing prevents them from finding a different job. Of course, they might need to train up other skills to qualify.

- Unique Setting:
New world to explore, new lore to discover, lots of flavor to read!

- Mad Science:
Tinkering, Engineering and Science will play a fairly large part in the mod, mostly in the form of tubes with green glowing liquid, and steam or clockwork powered machines. This will of course be available in the custom crafting system.

- Magic:
Two custom magic systems will replace 'standard' spell casting business of neverwinter nights 2. One of the two systems is a 'science-based' magic and will work like some rune-crafting things you can find in other games. Basically, you put several building blocks in slots and click a button. The spell that is produced is determined on what building blocks you have used. The second magic system is more occult and ritualistic. Spells will take longer to cast and it will use a more traditional mana system, though spells include summoning horrible monsters, contacting great old ones and raising the dead.
Catch a preview here:

That about sums up the major points. There are many more changes such as a custom UI look, several changes to different interfaces, such as 'steal' attempts at shops and so forth. We are also planning on including the more standard PW features, such as persistent storage and player housing.

We are looking for anyone willing to contribute or help with the project, ranging from area builders to writers and even game designers to help smooth out the custom ruleset. Even people who can keep our otherwise docile forums alive are very much welcome.

Well, when I've mentioned a few times that I wanted to contribute to other's projects for a bit once my campaign is out the door, this was the one I was specifically thinking of.

Server has seen a lot of uptime this week and it seems to be running just fine. It's still password protected however, as I feel it's still not playable yet. Anyone who wants to take a peek, or do some preliminary testing, feel free to send me a message for the password.

Have you allowed people to join your bio social group? I would like to keep an eye on this by watching that space. :)

My ESV areas

My ESV areas part 2

Zedicius is too modest to say it, but he could really use help on the scripting/technical side of things, as he had to become a lone wolf. I've been able to help greatly with areas.

Deep jungle

A feature area
