Hello guys and gals.

I tried to open a save yesterday (post-Landsmeet in-game if you were curious) and I got the infamous Out of Memory bug. I decided to do some poking around in the past, and I see that it is a rather long standing issue.

A few questions:

1) Obviously BioWare has not fixed this yet - or have they and am I missing the fix?
2) Are there any "new" work arounds?

3) I did come across this very helpful site:
http://social.biowar...11689/blog/707/
I haven't yet tried it becauce I'm a total noob at computers and I'm afraid I'll mess up royally. My biggest roadblock for this fix is teh backing up part. When it says to back up the toolset, does that mean like an actual back up? (IE I have to fish out my XP back up CD then, and actually back up my data!)

Should I back up my DAO (saves, etc) too?

Thanks in advance :)

It's talking about backing up the toolset EXE file - i.e. making a copy. I tried it with the standalone GFF editor back when the idea was first suggested and it didn't work for me (Win7 x64, 8GB RAM).

Thanks; I'll try it after backing my toolset up!

Neither seem to lead anywhere... where's Bioware's fix?
