Part of their caste system I think was their justification.

Actually makes some sense if you know about say, ancient Roman culture.  The hierarchy of and interplay between slaves, freedmen and citizens (plebians), equestrians, patricians.  

To contemporary  humans - and myself personally, slavery is an abhorrent practice.  Many things that were once normal and respectable are now taboo.  The Batarians are - quite literally - alien, and holding them to our social standards is pretty intolerant itself.  Their culture is valid to them, and while the galactic community may demand they make internal changes in order to gain diplomatic recognition, that change should come from within.  Otherwise it's an imposition on a valid culture and a violation of their sovereignty.   The Batarians have a right to bristle at such casual dismissals of their society.

Doesn't mean we can't hate them for it, but mocking their heritage by encasing it in quotes... meh. 

Note:  Now when Batarians enslave aliens, that's a totally different matter and other races have a legal right and obligation to defend their citizens.  But in that event it's not a cultural issue, it's a political one.

I can't stand Geth Hunters. Stealth + Shields + Shotgun = trifecta of suck, and they are tall enough to shoot past your cover when they get close.

I also hate pyros of every description. That damn vorcha in the hallway during my formative years, Geth Destroyers etc.

Oh and fenris mechs, becuse of them attacking, dying, and exploding at close range - unless you use throw after stripping the armour or something.

Also, I always play on the highest difficulty, so crowd control techniques such as Throw Field don't work.

It would be best if you clarified which enemy you found annoying if difficulty matters for that enemy (it applies to all, of course, but several enemies gain specific advantages).

On that note, I find the Praetorian the most annoying, regardless of difficulty.

Enemy engineers are irritating, particularly when they get a combat drone past your flank without you realizing it. Would be nice to have that radar back on the HUD, Bioware...

There is only one individual enemy and that one alone that I hate with all fiery passion that I am willing to devote to a game character: that one Vorcha Pyro. Oh yes, you know the one I mean.

Scions. They're just plain annoying. Harbinger is almost as annoying as well. Collector Heavies as well.

I don't think there is ONE worst enemy. Every opponent you encounter is easy to subdue with the right strategy. The problems start of enemies aree paired so that the primary counter-strategy is effectively countered like with the Scion+Husk combo:
Husk = Get in the open and strave them
Scion = Get in cover and shoot whenver it is not shooting
Now that combo blows that plan to hell, as either the Husks mob you to death if you tried to duck the Scion or the latter dissects you when you try to strafe the Husks. It is possible to avoid the Scion via intelligent positioning, but you are put under hard pressure, especially if there are two Scions shooting non-synchronious, basically barraging you with their Shockwave-Beam. All of them a killable, but this combo is especially hard to come by in comparision to the other instances. Single enemies like Praetorians are cake.


Add that to some Collector Assassins and you've got a winner.

Alot of people need to pick up Miranda and the anti widow(if you have legion he also helps), I really haven't had a problem with husk or pratoriens since my first playthrough



Husk are easily countered by grunt and on under hardcore difficulties samara



My biggest problem would have to be....Harbringer actually caused me a bit of annoyance for some reason

Anything with a flamethrower, due to the fact they can perpetually stunlock you with very little chance of escape. The Vorcha Pyro around the glitchy corner that puts up a magical wall through which powers cannot pass is the worst. Geth Destroyers are also pretty bad because they advance faster than Blue Suns/Vorcha Pyros and their tanks are very hard to shoot from the front. They seem to have greater range for some reason, I'm not sure.



Scions aren't too bad as long as long as we're not talking about the ones on the Collector Ship, on the floating platforms. I make it a priority to kill the first one as fast as possible because it's so annoying and very adept at killing my squadmates. Praetorians are also just very annoying enemies, as are husks.

Praetorians and YMIRs for me. Praetorians aren't so bad on lower settings, but as you pump it up to Insanity and they start moving towards you (I don't think Praetorians advance on the lower difficulties, do they?) it can get hairy. YMIRs wouldn't be so bad if they didn't explode on death. The headshot mushroom cloud isn't so bad because you have some time to get away, but the regular explosion can get you if you're already down to a sliver of health and you're up close.



If we're talking about grunt enemies, I'd say heavies for sure (Boom-Boom squads, Blue Sun heavies, Eclipse heavies, etc.). It's not that they're difficult to kill, it's just the way they spam missiles that gets irritating. Being able to fire missiles in waves like that seems a little ridiculous, given that the appearance of the ME2 missile launcher suggests it's a single-shot weapon like an RPG that should require reloading after each shot.

Forgot about flamethrowers....Instant kill on insanity caused me alot of trouble

I hate harbinger.  His bombs knock me out of cover.

After that, it's anyone who can stun me.  On insanity, stunned equals instant death.  And dying makes me go ape****.

I think he just chose the wrong word. After a few tries, every situation in the game is easily accomplishable. Hard places are no more and that kind of thing. However, those previous hard situations still remain a nuisance.
