 i have tried putting a few areas into an area list, but that doesn't seem to work, im not even sure if that's how you would start, i have tried alot of videos and looked it up on google, but nothing details how to link two areas, so if anybody knows, do share.

You need area transitions between the two. It's covered in a number of tutorials. Start with the wiki - http://social.biowar...p/Area_tutorial There are also a number of video tutorials that cover it. I think SilentCid's very first video covers this.
