Varric turns out not to be ridiculously sexy.

That one has, sadly already happened. :whistle:Image IPB

I bet witch hunt dlc has a tie in to DA 2

it is set 1 year after fall of archdemon after all, the same time line as the beginning of DA2.

I think the big baddy at the end of DA 2 will be some demonic spawn of Morrigan's!.

I like dogs. The DLCs just haven't been the same without my dog. Witch Hunt is going to help, though.

... nonsense like the plot twist at the tower of Ishal's top floor
after the battle cutscene happening again.

.. plot twists that never happen - like getting a perfectly useless
letter written by your father - you simply can't use it against your
rtreacherous brother.

Wait, what? Which part do you mean:

1) Alistair, the Warden, Dog, and Redshirt light the beacon.
2) Cutscene where Loghain orders the retreat and the remaining humans are slaughtered
3) Cutscene where Alistair and the Warden get shot up by arrows
4) Waking up at Flemeth's hut

And then explain why you think it's a bad plot twist?  From where I sit they kind of, you know, set up the entire story for the rest of the game.

Defeating dozens of darkspawn and the level boss while chewing gum
on the way and then

3) Cutscene where Alistair and the Warden get shot up by arrows

happens is farfetched nonsense, yes.

Even dodging the darkspawn on the way to Flemeth's hut in the Korcari wilds
and asking her for her support against Alistair's objections would've made more
sense.

I'll buy that. I do think they kept that cutscene (#3) shot in order to preserve pacing/the shock of the moment.

But let's stay they make cutscene #3 four times as long, and show Alistair and the Warden completely overwhelmed by lots of darkspawn, is it still a problem?

Meh, I see what you're saying but I can guess that it was an artistic decision to keep it fast paced.

Hawke will have a huge phobia of snakes.

I'd even halfway bought that cutscene until the warden
told Wynne she'd / he'd hardly seen anything fom the
position on top of the tower
- so they blew the shock moment theory up themselves.

It doesn't matter to me if it was an artistic decision or a
deadline driven choice.

It is like those rpg where you can't tell the city guard
commander about the enemies you've witnessed placing
huge amounts of explosives in the tunnels under the city
and you're unable to collect some volunteers for a counter
attack - you just  watch the whole place blow up from the
distance...

I really don't wish to see stuff like that in da rtp.

See - if they made the whole bossfight a cutscene
- a close call and nearly a final stand for all while a party
member barely manages to light the signal fire
before the next cutscene triggers - I wouldn't
have complained
- the loot could've easily been added to the
non-locked chest in Flemeth's hut (some
souvenirs from male visitors and templars)
instead of making it bodybag and container
inside the tower's top level.

It is the logic goof that upsets me.

Hawke wakes up next to the Warden and Bob Newhardt in a swanky New York apartment in the 1980s and says "You wouldn't believe the dream I just had."

Right before laying the killing blow on the big bad, the scene cuts to Varric who says: "Buy our <insert dlc name here> and finish your adventure as the fearless Hawke! Only $4.99!"
