Either way, it's lame, so I don't expect it in actual game.Rovay wrote...

Bethany is possesed by flemeth and is used as insurance to keep hawke under her control.
I'd prefer it the other way round: Flemeth is possed by Bethany and forces Hawke to obey her like an idiot.
Worst possible plot twists?

Or we could go with Varric possesing Bethany if you'd like.

"HE IS GOING TO KILL US" said the Darkspawns
"I will fire at him" said the Archdemon and fired the magiks. Hawke blud magiked at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the Darkwspawns" he shouted
Varric said "No, Hawke. You are the darkspawns"
Then Hawke was a ghoul.

MEN IS WIFE!
You spelled entirely too many words correctly in that, and used too much proper sentence construction. E.g.: "HE IS GOING TO KILL AT US" sed the Darkspawns

Main character must make a choice between loved one/self and saving the world with no middle ground.
I'm sorry, this instantly makes me hate the game and siphons all of my enjoyment away from it. What a completely pathetic and pointless "twist", engineered for false drama that will only effect the last ten seconds of the game and completely destroy everything you've been hoping to achieve.
Thanks bad writing. You've always done me proud.

This is only acceptable if it is Adam West's dream.

I remember the first time I saw Loghain I already felt he had a sort of evil look about him so I was like 'oh no I hope he isn't the end boss type' well and minutes later he betrayed the Grey Wardens so ... ugh. And from there it goes on that you do not only know your next step, but 3 or 4 steps ahead. I wouldn't say 'worst possible' but it makes the difference between a game I like and a game I love.

Also, if Hawke gets a mentor/father figure in-game, this character dies in battle.

Jesus... that's horrible!
I can see it now.. Hawke defeats the final level of the dream, and wakes up in a burning lothering and is promptly riddled with arrows and bolts. Then it cuts to the camera panning away from Hawkes lifeless body as the VA narrates about the nature of life, how fleeting existence is, and how not everyone can be a hero.
