Bethany is possesed by flemeth and is used as insurance to keep hawke under her control.

This. Either this or forcing Hawke to obey Flemeth like an idiot.

I'd prefer it the other way round: Flemeth is possed by Bethany and forces Hawke to obey her like an idiot. Image IPB

Either way, it's lame, so I don't expect it in actual game.

Or we could go with Varric possesing Bethany if you'd like.Image IPB But yeah, it's lame.

"HE IS GOING TO KILL US" said the Darkspawns
"I will fire at him" said the Archdemon and fired the magiks. Hawke blud magiked at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the Darkwspawns" he shouted
Varric said "No, Hawke. You are the darkspawns"
Then Hawke was a ghoul.

:happy:Cookies for the reference.

MEN IS WIFE!

You spelled entirely too many words correctly in that, and used too much proper sentence construction.  E.g.: "HE IS GOING TO KILL AT US" sed the Darkspawns

If this has been said before, it deserves to be said again:

Main character must make a choice between loved one/self and saving the world with no middle ground.

I'm sorry, this instantly makes me hate the game and siphons all of my enjoyment away from it. What a completely pathetic and pointless "twist", engineered for false drama that will only effect the last ten seconds of the game and completely destroy everything you've been hoping to achieve.

Thanks bad writing. You've always done me proud.

This is only acceptable if it is Adam West's dream.

Well worst plot twists are always those you can smell from miles away. Some are metioned here already. I think the big secret about story telling is to surprise the audience and give them the feeling they just experienced something great. If I take DA:O for example I can't point to many things that came unexpected. I only know two things actually. First, Aistairs reaction at the landsmeet when I refused to kill Loghain, and second, Morrigan's departure after I refused the DR in the first playthrough. So in my first playthrough I ended up with Alistair becoming a drunk and Loghain taking over the Grey Wardens of Ferelden after my GW sacrificed herself (played Dalish Elven Female in my First).

I remember the first time I saw Loghain I already felt he had a sort of evil look about him so I was like 'oh no I hope he isn't the end boss type' well and minutes later he betrayed the Grey Wardens so ... ugh. And from there it goes on that you do not only know your next step, but 3 or 4 steps ahead. I wouldn't say 'worst possible' but it makes the difference between a game I like and a game I love.

During a battle, you enter CGI-sequence with an arrow speeding towards you and your LI screaming "NooooOoOO!". The character in question shields you from harm, and then dies in your arms.

Also, if Hawke gets a mentor/father figure in-game, this character dies in battle.

Bethany's breasts vanish, (massive fanboy suicide)  Hawke then shaves his beard (massive fangirl suicide), and gathers a fellowship around him, consisting of a witty dwarf, a drunk elf, four kids on bare feet with hairy ears and Deekin. They go on this epic quest to retrieve Bethany's breasts, but in the very end they find out Bethany uses socks to fill up her bra. Deekin then goes berserk and sings the doom song, which causes everyone to enter a brain bashing rage, and then they all die. The end.

Thats funny, I would love it! How epic... although I have no idea how they would get it to actually work.

Hawke turns out to be a new breed: part-dragon, part-human.

His dragon wings will be all feathery white and sh#t!

Jesus... that's horrible!

I can see it now.. Hawke defeats the final level of the dream, and wakes up in a burning lothering and is promptly riddled with arrows and bolts. Then it cuts to the camera panning away from Hawkes lifeless body as the VA narrates about the nature of life, how fleeting existence is, and how not everyone can be a hero.
