I have always been a great D&D fan for the last 25 years and I m thinking about purchasing NWN2 these days as i really enjoyed playing baldur's etc at the time...i started to play planescape then NWN1 when it came out but got really annoyed by the fact i could not managed my party entirely. Meaning i could not managed their equipments etc anymore... i believe one of NWN2 extension allows even to roll them from A to Z which is in fact more than i want. But i believe when you install this extension it only works for this extension only and not for the whole game. Am i correct?
Can you give me some input?
Thank you.

NWN2 plays more like the infinity engine games (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale) than the first Neverwinter Nights, and that is a big improvement. Even in the NWN2 Official Campaign, you can fully control the companions who join the party.
NWN2's second expansion Storm of Zehir does introduce the ability to create the entire party, bringing an additional element of player control to gameplay. These scripts have been used elsewhere in other people's modules, and Kaldor Silverwand created a mod that allows you to use this system in the Original Campaign, as well as Mask of the Betrayer.
So in summary, the gameplay of NWN2 is more like the earlier games you enjoyed.
Hope that helps.
