I want to be surprised by how much I like a particular character (Especially romance options). Planning the perfect woman is worthless, because I'll only end up comparing my options to the aforementioned ideal- and that will always end poorly.

I want to see a moderately attractive, indepedent woman with a bitter sense of humor as a romance option. Why do I say moderatly? Because the stereotype is a deadhorse, the beautiful heroine who somehow is able to kick ass. I want a woman who is strong, carries some scars, and isn't afraid to pick up a two-handed sword and chop my head off. Breaking into someone's heart that's been off limits is a challenge and a pleasure, to create trust and a bond that outlasts whatever plight our hero is in.

Not necessarily. You're paining with a wide brush there.

By that logic, every character that shares more than 1 commonality is the same.

I wouldn’t mind possibly marring into royalty again with Empress Celene. The Empress may be looking to forge another strategic relationship as a result of the death of King Cailan.

Fat chance. Even in the off chance that what is probably the most important and powerful figure in Thedas met up with Hawke, I doubt she would consider him/her anything more than a scrap of dirt. Something tells me she has a gigantic superiority complex... but then again, who knows? Perhaps she will surprise.

I like to see a Miranda like romance that is probably like the best someone that can handle herself in most worldly situations. But then has that vulnerable side to her but then she only shows that side of herself with you. But that's just me.

I think Dragon Age 2 should have lots of...little romances. Think "The Witcher" (but no trading card game. And more realistic)

From what little I know of Empress Celene she appears opportunistic (possibly murdering her uncle to usurp the throne) and possibly baiting King Cailan into marriage (I suspect to expand the kingdom). I woman like this would hardly be interested in Hawks meager upbringing (as your post quite aptly suggests). 

However, it sounds like Hawke will amass a great deal of power and prestige that Empress Celene might find tantalizing and might try to add this power to her own through marriage.

Hawke becomes the most important person in the Dragon Age universe. I for one hope this refers to political power, not just magic or plot importance.

You do know they are a choice, and not mandatory.

Of course I wouldn't like all romances to be like that (I'm assuming we'll get at least two options), just that such an option would offer huge possibilities for roleplaying and some great internal motivations for Hawke. Not to mention it would be something new and different. I was in fact half expecting such a twist to happen with Leliana in Origins. Mostly I'm just glad it didn't, but a part of me was left wondering how awesome it would have been from a character development point of view.

I would like to see a female character who is a qunari warrior. In addittion, I would love it if she had hostle attitude towards humans at first.

Well, some do.
Personally, I don't see the appeal of massive beewbs.
Interesting and good personality..and a nice face. Those two things are important to me. Boobs? No.

Well, some do.
