For Dragon Age 2 I'd say a woman that doesn't have black hair (if she's Caucasian). We already had Ashley, Miranda, and Jack (Mass Effect), Morrigan (Dragon Age), and Bastila (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic). I don't mind women with black hair, but Caucasian women with black hair have been overdone already...(there's nothing wrong with that but I'd like to see something different already).
I'd like to see more blonde and red-head romance options, even a woman with lighter brown hair I wouldn't mind. Perhaps a beautiful blonde templar, like the classical lady knight in shining armor (minus any pretentious or self-righteous attitudes), I like what they did with Leliana and Kelly Chambers (and having Jacob as an African romance option...even if his romance sucked) and hope Bioware continues to diversify their romantic options
Though I would really like to see an African, Asian or Amerindian woman as a romance option (then black hair would be fine, preferably very naturally curly with long braids). Maybe she immigrated from another continent and came to Thedas. I also like the idea of the Rivani woman (shown in the trailer) being a romance option as well because at least she has moorish/middle eastern features. I can say the same for Mass Effect and any future rpgs as far as thats concerned.
For a Fereldan though I'd settle for a beautiful blonde, light brunette or redhead.
Would also be cool to have an elven or dwarven romance option as well. Elven women are classic and stereotypical but we really didn't get to see that aside from Iona in Origins and especially with the Dragon Age lore it could be interesting. (I'm thinking a Dalish elf here?). A dwarf would be awesome, its original and especially concerning dwarven culture and politics I'd be very interested to see how that romance plays out.
For male romance options I'd say a male lead who isn't whiny, overly generic, boring or has "trust issues" (I'm looking at the majority of male romance options Bioware's had so far, exception being Zevran, Sky, and Alistair...well at least Alistair is passable despite being whiny). Would be cool to have a male LI that is Orlesian, Rivani or Antivan, complete with an alluring accent or possibly a foreign not native to Thedas. Or a non-human could easily work as well (I'm thinking a male qunari or spirit here?).

I'd like a funny female romance option, maybe like Sigrun from Awakening in which she's comical, quirky and cute or closer to Leliana/Aerie in which they are sweet and attentive. Basically no more rehashed character archetypes, or switch them up a bit.
Maybe a female Kaiden/Carth/Alistair and a male Morrigan/Leliana/Bastila? Maybe this time the guy is haughty and condescending (but grows to be likeable) and the woman is a bit whiny (but you grow to like her).

An accent is certainly a plus(One of my favorite things about Leliana and Tali was the accents. I guess I'm a sucker for them...as long as they aren't brittish accents)

Someone like Samara. She already has priorities and you're not one of them. Sexy.
Definitely. Would love an elegant lady knight like that. Would go perfect if she was a bit older and hauntingly beautiful. Romance isn't on her mind and you have to approach her first because the threat/war is on her mind.
Someone like Aribeth from Neverwinter Nights 1. Duty-filled and strong yet still respects you and considers you her equal.

Leliana's was good because she was a kind person, but she was also a strong woman emotionally and physically.

W: You should examine your beliefs.
L: You-you are sooo pessimistic!
W: ... I don't follow.
She was loyal (to an extent) and sorta fun to talk to I guess but I'm not someone who responds to friendly chatter. Give me a woman who won't think twice over taking me to task and will go knuckle for knuckle with me. As far as I'm concerned that's better than the actual foreplay.

A darkspawn slaying Silk Fox for me...
Lol. For some reason I understood this as you wanting a darkspawn romance with the darkspawn slaying Silk Fox in order to prove its worth to you.

She had a small issue with her former mentor, but other than that, she was. I guess some might consider her religion to be something bad, but it wasn't. People choose to believe all sorts of things. It doesn't necessarily make them unstable.
It makes them fools, like Morrigan would say.

Another cool romance option would be one were the girl is aggressive and initiates the romance herself.

You know, Morrigan might have a point there ...

Athiest > Yeah I agree with you there. While I do prefer having a chance to knock the religion that's trying to have me and my sister killed I'll just be satisfied if she isn't "Maker [this]! Maker [that]!" like Leliana or Ashley.Suprez30 wrote...
Atheist or not i don't care.Just not a zealot.
Realist > You mean pragmatic? No thanks.A bit of Both . I like idealist .A mix of both.
Confident > Confident can be beautiful but i also like naivety and shyness . Confident could mean annoying for certain ppl.Like Morrigan. Not confident but annoying and naive.Still like her personnality.
Powerful > Well i hope she will kick butt since she could be a party member. But i realy don't care.
Snide > i pass
Honest > Impossible .. Boring .Honest can equal stupidity .
Determined > Determination can be found in many aspect.
Can we really just write down someone personality ..?It's feel like a dating service ..
I'm a 6ft 2 guy with brown hair and blue eyes with a 6 pack and i'm rich .. I drive a mercedes.
I'm searching for a woman who don't care about my abs and my bank account.
Realist > Philosophy varies from person to person. Each his own;)
Confident > Yeah, some people like naive and shy. Hence why we have all the Leliana, Tali, and Liara fans. Some like confidence and why we have the Bastila, Morrigan, and Miranda fans. I wish there was a way to blend the two without pissing everyone off
Powerful > I meant like she has a powerful personality. Someone who stands out from the group and when the camera cuts to her you have an idea of what she'll do or say.
Snide > To each their own;)
Honest > Morrigan and Zevran were honest from the beginning to the end in both her actions and their motives. In other words they didn't fear the consequences of their actions and didn't fear you or the party. Leliana and Alistair, on the other hand, lied to you at the beginning because they was afraid you'd leave them when you discovered the truth about them. Leliana also lied to herself about her nature (thus the option to harden her) because she feared her past and Alistair lived in stupid oblivion of reality because it hurt too much (thus the option to harden him). Just an example...
Determined > I meant like Wrex or Morrigan. Wrex was willing to kill his father and you to help his people and Morrigan was willing to leave behind her one chance at happiness to do what she wanted.
Can we write a template of what we want in the perfect LI? More often than not no, since we tend to write about ourselves. But it at least gives the devs an idea of what we like;)
