It's been probably suggested by now but a demon would be interesting. One who has been around long enough to prefer a peaceful existence instead of violent rampages. She (or he) would lack common sense and subtlety, leading up to awkward moments between you two as well as between your partymates.
It would be also hinted she/he is a pride/desire demon. That'd be interesting.
Okay, off I go to watch Buffy.
I'm all for this. Right down to watching Buffy.

I had a quasi-femcrush on Legend of the Seeker version of Kahlan Amnell.
Bridget Regan!
She was beautiful and strong, a good balance between "eye-candy" and dignified demeanor. Perhaps sort of a mystic warrior type aswell, which could work well in DA2.
If she wears that outfit, I endorse this.
...though I still really need to re-watch Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Oh Elsa, why'd you have to be so evil...

I loved that show. Felt classic. And when they did those close-ups of Kahlan you could see those big blue eyes.
In any way, a tall female Qunari with awesome legs is win for me anyway.

They did use her for fanservice a lot, but they didn't need to. She and the actress that plays her are just amazing; I was spellbound all through season 2. It helps that she has a lot in common with Morrigan and Jack.

Perhaps less extreme characters are less noticeable / interesting - Tsuntsuns and Nadeshikos are unique precisely because they are so extreme.

An evil Qunari girl (pure evil, like.. you couldn't defend her intentions at all) who joins you out of boredom, she doesn't argue against your good motives but finds them boring (losing approval).
I wouldn't mind this as long as she doesn't try to cover it up with some lame philosophical viewpoint such as "survival of the fittest." I'd love a strong and beautiful woman who doesn't feel the need to constantly explain to me why I'm wrong for doing what I do in silly and shallow moralistic and philosophical terms.
I will kill who I please, love who I please, rob who I please, and help who I please. And she wouldn't annoy me with some sermon or ridiculously pointless observation of the situation at every turn.

So... basically Morrigan?Collider wrote...
1. Ask Hawke questions. Ask how he is, how he's doing, how he's feeling. Ask him what his opinions are - on her, the relationship, and anything. Likewise, I want Hawke to be able to ask the same of her.
2. I want to see conflict. Maybe she's afraid to love. Maybe she's afraid she'll lose you. Something that doesn't make the romance 100% problem free.
3. Similar to #1, she should tell Hawke what she thinks of the relationship, what she thinks of him, how much he means to her and in what way, without Hawke necessarily asking.
4. To show Hawke how much she cares for him, she should give him a gift(s) or some sort of activity like going somewhere beautiful together, going out hunting, etc. Likewise, Hawke should be able to do the same.
Wow, Hawkeyed interpreted my list near-perfect:lol:

As for races, well a female elf is a must and I'm pretty sure they've already made a female human romance option. Other than that, I agree with those who suggested more exotic species, like desire demonesses, or spirits (like the Lady of the Forest), or qunari.
When it comes to options, I think it's time to finally allow us a viable three-way romance, like they did in Jade Empire. If for nothing else, then to reduce the predictability of their formula. We know they will give us the dialogue option to suggest something like that when the time comes in the romance plot, but in the last three games (ME, ME2, DA:O) that option was a dummy - rejected by default. Perhaps it's time to mix it up a little.

No Lelianas. I really don't want to have to put up with yet another party member who refuses to apply any level of critical thought to her life and beliefs.
W: You should examine your beliefs.
L: You-you are sooo pessimistic!
W: ... I don't follow.
She was loyal (to an extent) and sorta fun to talk to I guess but I'm not someone who responds to friendly chatter. Give me a woman who won't think twice over taking me to task and will go knuckle for knuckle with me. As far as I'm concerned that's better than the actual foreplay.
No atheists I really don't want to have to put up with yet another
party member who refuses to open their eyes to the greater truth and remian ignorant.
See? I can do that too.
Keep your hatered of religion out of Thedas.
I don't get you people...saying that Leliana is anoyingly religious. I guess everyone that expresses his religion, regardless of when and why, is annyoingly religious?
She doesn't mention it unless the conversation goes that way. She's not rubbing itno anyones face or constantly mentiinign it. How is that annoyingly religious?

I like having the prospect of screwing things up but I would hate to find out that there was no hope to begin with! At least give me a chance to make it work out all right! Personally I'm hoping for a Qunari romance or an Elf romance but an elf that's born nowhere near Ferelden or Kirkwall. It's my Ideal I suppose
