I have a rather strange pair of issues I got KOTOR from D2D and its all fine... except...

It takes forever to load the game. Then while in the game, load screens last even longer. Im talking load times of half a minute to about a minute or two. For instance when you flee Taris, I think its Taris anyway. It loads the cutscenes individually and each one takes a minute or so, all in all it takes about Five minutes to finally get to the point where your on the starships gun.

In game when im actually playing, as long as I don't have any loadscreens to deal with, its all perfectly smooth and not laggy at all.

The second problem is that i've recently installed patch 1.03 to see if that would help the problem... and now I can't start because it keeps asking me for a disc.

Same problem here. I own the Xbox version, but just bought the Steam PC version to play on my M11x. Steam doesn't make the patch available so I ran the manual installer. After patching I can't get it run anymore as it's asking for a disc.

For me, the escape from Taris is causing the game to crash completely. I board the Ebon Hawk, crash. I restart, do it again, it managed to go to a scene with Darth Malak, crash. Reload, get past that scene and start shooting down star fighters, I win, CRASH!



This is getting rather disheartening.
