Ok I need some help here. I'm getting married in November and my grooms cake is going to be the Normandy SR1 from Mass Effect. I've already searched, but I need some High quality images for the caterer to do the cake, the only ones I've found that are the highest quality with the best detail are the ones from the web developers kit from the original ME1 website, it's only two images. Anything with lots of angles and awesome quality would be great. I came here because I knew you guys would be as excited as me AND you probably know best where to get the good stuff, heck maybe even bioware can send me some top down, side to side pictures or something. I need all I can get.

I really can't wait to show you guys what it'll look like. It's a huge cake, and I'm getting custom wedding action figures of Cmdr Shepard and a bride.

I too don't have pictures, but maybe you could ask Bioware? I think they might send you some hi res images if you ask. By the way, major congratulations to you. Is this the part where I say something along the lines of "and so begins the rest of your life?"

If the latter, I suggest rigging the cake with some explosives to represent the Normandy getting destroyed and the enviable divorce. Ah the sweet symbolism.

Making a few screenshots of the SR-1 on Virmire could help. And also a few screenshots from cutscenes in ME1.

Well the idea for the cake is pretty ridiculous, I'd like to show my drawn comps but then that would spoil it. The cake maker I got makes those ridiculously detailed cakes like Cake Boss or Ace of Cakes. She's the closest one I could find that would even take it, one caterer even flat out turned me down. I thought it was funny. The whole thing I think is 24x12" I wanted it bigger, but I have to be realistic, we only need to feed so many people. And don't worry there will be a TON of pics. I'm a photographer myself, and of course I have my wedding photographer and her assistant photographer there too, between the 3 of us I think we're golden.



Also yes my Fiance supports it, she knows how much I love the games, and the idea I had with the cake made sense for the wedding. The wedding colors are black and white, so I decided to go with the SR1 instead of 2. The speech wheel I made also says something funny about the wedding so that's an added plus. I may do a poll on here to see what you guys would think would be best for it though. I'm not a writer.



Thanks for all the replies and congratulations so far guys! And of course any help is much appreciated. I haven't seen a single picture from the back of the SR1 I may even have to get her a small one for that one it's the only angle of the ship that's not an easy one to come by.



If I were to contact bioware for pics how would I do that?

Lpprince - Awesome thanks HUGE size, very detailed. Davidrules - Also very nice, I found that one before but not the size you linked, the one I had was pulled much smaller from google images.



HBC - The caterer is surely confused about all the ship stuff, so I'm definitely going to need some of those, I'll have to shop out the SR2 so she doesn't get confused but they're good sizes! Nice! I saw those from the art section of one of the game guides.



On a side note, it would've been MUCH easier for her to do SR2. It's bigger and pictures seem to be more readily available for it, plus I have the litho that would've even helped further, but my fiance' thought it would be best to do the one that I started with because it meant the most, and the fact she liked the red better than the yellow, and I told her how I think Cerberus is evil, but ya know. Plus the SR2 is twice the size and as I said we only need to feed so many people, and we have a regular wedding cake too.
