Is Tali/Liara popular female LIs because they appeal the the nerdy/geeky/socialy awkward males?

You didn't catch what Shepard meant when he told Ashley to "be ready?"

Which dialogue option was that? I'll have to check again.Upsettingshorts wrote...

It happens after a two choice option.
I'll talk to him - O - Forget about Wrex.
Shepard automatically says it if you select the left one. Or maybe Ashley says it and Shepard nods. I forget which, but...
She doesn't just come out of nowhere to shoot Wrex, there was an implied understanding between Shepard and Ashley that she would have your back. You can still be mad at her for shooting him without your explicit authorization, but it's not like it was totally random. She would have to already be in position for the option (Signal Ashley) to even be a conversation wheel choice in the first place, right?
That's all I was saying really.

Damn right I pick the blue, smart, openminded alien and have a cheerful, purple, neglected mystery as a second
They're all different and none is perfect

Because they fell in love with you easier than in real life

Socially inept? Like the guy in your avatar?
It's interesting that Jacob is the only character who actually acts like a real person regarding the romance options.
The same goes for Jack, BTW.
Let's see, Jack acts like a woman: "hey Shep, you want to f*ck, let's f*ck. It was good for you? Nice. Now get the hell out of here and stop wasting my time".
Or if you want to persue a relationship she's also open.
Jacob on the other hand acts pretty much like the stereotype "male" thing.
To give you credit he acts like ass sometimes, but hey, if Aaliyah was plain naked in a bed I want to see her too.
And let's be honest, men ARE jerks most of the time, it's part of our nature.
Also, Jacob is the only character to tells Shepard to mind her own business and go to hell if she wants to be a pain in the arse.
He's the only one who actually DUMP Shepard, instead eating all the crap that she puts on him.
Like Thane do, for example.
This is also true for Jack, who doesn't give a sh*t about who Shepard is.
"I'm Shepard, saviour of the galaxy", wich Jack reply "Oh yeah, nice. Now go find something better to do, like making sex with an Elcor. With him on the top".
Let's not forget that the behaviour of the two are highly exaggerated for artistic purposes, but also very true in some things.
That's why they bother people so much.

The rest of the LI's interest me little, but if I had to choose I like Miranda the most, and I also like those flirty conversations you have with her in the later stages of her romance. I'm a 23 year old virgin and a very introverted geek and so socially awkward I can't even have a conversation with strangers, especially attractive women.

I'm more of a closet geek, and I've always been into strong, decisive women so Ashley and Miri are quite up my alley.

An alpha male would choose one of these three "losers"? I doubt it.Someone like aria if she would be available.MajesticJazz wrote...

You dragged out the explanation a bit but it's simple: Different LIs are designed to cater to different personalities.
And with that being said, would you say that Tali and Liara were designed to appeal to the....nerdy/geeky guy whereas Miranda, Ash, and Jack were made to appeal to the Alpha male?
