Chicks who murder people are a turnoff?

This psycho-analyzing stuff is so easy!

Because you have a beard and she's bald. Never heard "opposites attract"?

Those are you know, legitimate problems. When I read the word whiny I expect stuff like... kids whining about homework, or someone whining about it raining a bit outside.

I liked Liara because of her geeky interest in Prothean archaeology. I always wanted to be an archaeologist as a kid. That's even why I chose her for my squad on Ilos. I wanted to hear her gushing about the Protheans.

Tali was interesting to me because quarian culture is so interesting... and I suppose the geeky engineering thing was cool too.

I would say were, not are. Like kaidan said: "I am done with my past.I dont want that you think i am a whiner."

Well... Kaidan is a man.  Other than pundits, men are expected not to whine.

Good point.  I could elaborate, but Kaidan deserves some love for being a pretty well adjusted dude.

Liara and Miranda are my favorites.

What does that say about me?

split personality? a bit nerdy/geeky/socialy awkward?

I guess it's no great surprise that Bioware might have identified and targeted certain demographics and tailored their product to suit. That's marketing for ya, but c'mon OP, you can do better than describe it terms of fairly lame generalisations. Image IPB

My favourite LIs are Liara, Jack and Ashley (in that order). I hate Tali and Miranda as LI.

So, I pretty much agree with AntiChri5 on generalisation being stupid.

You assume that nerds would date the same women in a video game that they would choose in real life.

I think the line's awfully blurred for some people, at least. :P

How about this: Tali and Liara are nice to your character. We like nice people. Miranda/Jack are cold and hostile early on... thus eliminating a portion of "fans" right off the bat.

Just like real life. Do you go for the woman who is nice and throws herself at you, or the one who tells you off. Most people will go for the nice one.

so that is only 1 of the 3 you accused of being losers. what about tali and liara? i don't think that miranda ever phrased it like that, neither did ashley. you're just making up extremes to justify liking one character over others.

i think so too, but some people like the challenge more. funny how it's only the alien women that are like that, except for the males who are pretty much all pretty open and not hostile or cold.

What I thought was telling was how immediately and permanently so many people turned on Liara after her appearance in Mass Effect 2.

Personally I thought - well, through Shepard anyway - was, "How can I make it better?" and then "Ok, I'll give you some space. But I'll be thinking about you."

Also, if I dump her she might flay me alive with her mind.

I have a problem! Except for Jacob, I like all LIs and I made a Shep for almost everyone so far.

I think, should I ever get completely wasted while playing Me2, I might even consider romancing Jacob again but that would take A LOT of Grey Goose. xD

I really don't think that all this can be looked at from a stereotypical point of view, wait, of course it can because that's just the easiest way. Basically, the initial post is nothing but a subtle way of trying to insult all Tali and Liaramancers but it's funny because it just didn't work! damn for geeks being so smart ^_^

anyway, personally I don't think I have to analyze why I feel attracted to certain types of people. It doesn't make me a less good person than others. *voice from off: who said you are a good person? oh shush!*

If I said, that I think Zaeed is hawt as **** does that mean, I have Daddy issues? Because obviously he is at least 10 years older than I am!

Hell, can't we all just like whoever we want without having to explain ourselves?

I think, the characters are sexy in their own special ways and bioware did a great job.

But about Jacob, we have to talk about him again....because this....this "package"....it's like a car accident...I don't wanna look at it but I can't stop staring! Just like Miranda's bewbs!

what was I going to say? oh hell...I need some coffee

Right. Remind me not to tell you any facts about my past, ever.

See, it's because of people like this that BioWare gave us a character like Jacob whose depths are totally closed off to us.

More a fan of Liara and Tali because they're feminine, I'd say in my point of view. Ashley and Jack are very brash and have a swagger, though Jack improves a tiny bit later on. Miranda's also pretty aggressive, but she handles it in a subtler way than the other two.

Don't worry. I also find Zaeed very VERY atractive. Too bad he's not romanceable :/

oh don't remind me! if there was ever any depth, I think, it's embroidered into his body-tight-two-numbers-too-small-suit! *shudders*
