On top of the fact that I love DA elves, it could be one of the most dramatic LI ever.

I'd prefer a female Dwarf , but I'd take an Elf over a Human.

Make her bisexual (but not like Zev, we don't need another Zev), and I'll support this.
Well, a female with Zevran's personality might attract a lot of guys, buy you're right, I'd prefer something different.

However, I suppose one can understand his standpoint; you need only look as far as Lord of the Rings to see The Great Hero give his heart to an Elven Princess. I suppose the writing team wanted to distance itself as much as possible from the Tolkien Saga, and this choice was one among many. Would I love to have an Elven Romance option (who isn't a Bi-Sexual Guy) yes, without question. Still, what Romances were have been given in every BioWare game has been amazing, deep, and thought provoking; and with DA2 I don't see them changing suit. As it is, I have my hopes set on Aveline or a Qunari Female. Whatever we get, I'll be happy.

Depending on whether she's Dalish or City Elf or with another origin entirely, the personality would be quite different. Like I said, it could be very interesting. So what if it's fantasy cliche?

I'd like an Elf LI/Party member, but not like city elves or 'I hate the world' Velanna types. Closer to Zeveran, but female.

I support this in principle. A human, someone on a rise to power and later/at the end in a position of power in love with an elven woman would be quite interesting considering their position in society in the DA universe, imo.

I agree, and I think a Dalish love interest would have even more conflict than a City Elf as Dalish don't get along with humans. Also they wouldn't be able to have elven children from a relationship with human, and if I remember this was quite important to them.

I have to wonder how she would be received compared to Zevran if she was just like Zevran, though. I sense differing gender standards regarding some of his traits...
Anyways, I liked Zathrian's first, whatever her name was.

In BG2 all female LIs are elves, in DA:O all of them are human.

He can't do that when the two women he can sleep with are humans.

There's also the issue with picking him up mid-way through the game. He wasn't exactly 'moldable'.

Exotic female lover might be a proper term. Liara in ME? Tali in ME2?
Why not?
I wouldn't mind an Aeire-like character (but a bit less whiny)

I disagree. Bioware promoting genocide even if it is genocide of an imaginairy people doesn't sound right. In lore any coupling of elves with non-elves results in non-elf children. The elven people are on the brink as it is already in Thedas.
Somehow I doubt one elf having a relationship with a human is really going to change the balance that much that's going to kill off their entire race. They might not have the numbers they once had, but they still have enough that one elf in a relationship with a human isn't going to kill their entire race.

Perhaps I need to refresh my Websters, but I don't remember 'breeding' being a form of organized genocide, ecspecially when considering you are one of the breeders.

Well, Bio hadn't produces a elf female LI in a while. I guess it's time for one again. They had a pause from that "cliche"...or should I say trope?
