I think it would be interesting if, as Hawke goes from nobody to king/champion, he gets involved with an elf along the way. Given the racism in Thedas against elves, once Hawke becomes famous and all he could have the choice of discarding or rejecting or better yet executing his old love to conceal the relationship.

Arwen is Half-Elven.  The Union of an elf with a human produces a half-elven child.

Arwen was an Elf because her father Elrond had chosen to be counted amongst Elves, making all his descendants Elves at birth. His brother Elros had chosen to be counted as a human, making all his descendants (Aragorn among them) human at birth.

Elrond's parents, Elwing & Eärendil, were among the first children of elven-human unions, and were forced by the Valar (the Powers in Tolkien's setting) to make a choice of the race they'd belong to.

I'm not sure why we're talking about this. Any child born of an elf and a human in Thedas is always human.

I think they're talking about Tolkien Elves, not Dragon Age elves.

Exactly!   Franklly, we need another race or two or another class or two:  Half-elves,  High Elves, Dark Elves, gnomes...  (And yeah, even WoW has its own Elves.  I like their gracefulness and their tall figure... Towering over humans).  Each game creator forms his/her own perspective...

Half-Elves would be interesting, but they've already been ruled out of the Dragon Age lore.

Not a chance is its the Whinning kind like Jaheira, however if they will drop on that i am okay with it.

Ah yes, someone like Meril would make an interesting companion and love interest. I'd actually like to see a Dalish Elf as a companion and love intererst. That would be rather interesting.

The problem with doing an Elf love interest is that Bioware's done it to death. Hell they did it to death in the same game. So they'd be pretty much rehashing themselves.

There was only one Elf love interest in the first one, and it was a male character. I'm hoping for a female elf love interest this time. And all the female love interest were human. So, it would be different if they were to have female love interests of different races.
