You do realize dog was voiced by a dog, right?

I think Chris Priestly said we'd lol when we find out who Malehawke's VA is. Im guessing its either Mark Hildreth, or the person that did Dog's voice, or Oghren's VA.

Warden: Oghren, you dog!

They also said it'd be someone who wasn't very popular. That does not fit Sten in the slightest. Current leading guesses are Nicholas Boulton (Vaughn) or Peter Bramhill (Cailan). And there's some who say that it might be Desmond Askew (Jowan), but they also said it'd be someone who had RANGE. His voice is extremely distinctive.

While we're at it, how about we throw in that annoying Templar guy when you try to go to the Chantry for the first time.

The problem with doing an Elf love interest is that Bioware's done it to death. Hell they did it to death in the same game. So they'd be pretty much rehashing themselves.

I agree with your statement, but what would Riordan have to say?

What about Riordan was their something I missed about him and Velanna?

Plus, you should keep in mind that was D&D, this is Dragon Age. The differences might not be astronomical but they're pretty obvious. An elf romance in D&D now would be nothing new and a total cliche. However, considering everything we know about the elves in Dragon Age, and especially the new setting in Kirkwall and the Free Marches, might it actually be a good thing, a new thing?

No it'd just be another Elf/Human romance. You know what would be a new thing? A human male, and a female Dwarf romance. That hasn't been done. Ever. As far as I know of.

Just another elf/human romance as in "just like it was in D&D"? Ignoring the lore of Dragon Age? The tension between the elves and humans? From that particular standpoint there would be almost nothing interesting about a human/dwarf romance. It would just be a difference of culture. The dwarves and the humans live in different countries. The situation of the elves is "a little" different.

Not saying that's the only point of view, but it's mine.

Elf and human romance is an elf, and human romance is an elf, and human romance. It's been done to death. In D&D, and other settings ad neusum.

 I... don't quite get that...

Anyways, the elves in D&D are not the same as the elves in Dragon Age. Now if you're just referring to them as a race... well, IMO, that's a little shallow, but that's your preference.

Personally, I can't put Dragon Age elves in the same category as "[D&D] elves done to death" because they're simply not D&D elves. Neither are the humans D&D, and neither are the dwarves.

Why am I saying particularly D&D elves, because you couldn't possibly say that about DA elves, there's only been ONE DA elf romance.

The counterargument to Gaider's claims that romance with female elves has been done to death in fantasy is that romances with female humans have been done to death in EVERYTHING. Not that that's bad. But nothing is truly original.

And having a human/human romance hasn't been done before? Does this mean we should also have no human love interest companions? Because you know that's been done before too.

I just want a virgin. None of the female LI's were virgins while the women got their fan service.

What? It's not that creepy!

I agree 101%. The last thing I need is a Paolini-esque elven love interest with zero personality beyond being staggeringly beautiful and good at fighting. I'd rather have something less boring, like a dwarf insecure about her stoutness .
