YES. I'd been wanting to get a hoody, but didn't want it to be super huge.

Woot!

while I am at it... I like the new Warden crest thermal. :D I'm currently saving money for my thermal order - so I'll include that one.

Any news on the status of the ladies striped hoodie? The store page still says they're going out "Monday, Oct. 25." But nothing is happening with my order status. Did somebody make an oopsie with the ship date? ;)

I have a quick question. Has anyone else got the Womens N7 hoodie? If so - is it navy instead of the grey on the store picture?

I just got one and it's the charcoal grey as in the photo, not navy.

I have a question though - my hoodie arrived today, and though I'm pleased enough with the material/fit etc (though it does seem a bit disproportionately baggy around the armpits, that might just be my body type).

What is want to know is this normal? (see photo) Though I understand printing over a seam must be difficult, I find myself looking at this and thinking '58 dollars plus international shipping?' .It's fresh out of the packaging and you can already see the material through the cracks in the print, & the print job in general just doesn't seem awesome. I mean this is gonna start peeling off after 1 wash (it does actually look worse in the flesh, it's just very dull for taking photos here).
If they're probably all like this I'll just suck it up since shipping takes age, but if it's not meant to be this way, I might try an exchange.

Another word of warning for ladies out there - the girls t-shirts are THIN. Thin as in put on a dark charcoal grey shirt, and I could see every detail down to the colours on my bra. So be aware of that.

Sorry, I didn't mean navy. When I first tried it on I had a navy tshirt on underneath and in poor lighting the colours looked identical. I still think the picture on the website looks different to the actual hoodie. In the picture it looks alot lighter grey, while in reality it's closer to the original guys.

My sleeves also have a similar problem to yours but not quite as bad. And the sleeves seem overly long too. Guess I'll just have to chock this up to experience. Shame.

I've quite long arms for my height so they seem ok to me, but the sleeves do suddenly seem to become huge around the underarm area. I'm glad they seem cosy and the material is good quality.

The excitement of unwrapping the parcel was kinda spoiled by the fact that the first thing I looked at was the state of the printing and thought '...oh...looks kinda crappy.' To be quite honest, I'm not sure why they went with printing the stripe when stitching 2 strips of material would have looked better, not cracked and avoided the obvious seam-printing problem. They could also have extended this to the end of the arm where the cuff begins and right where the hood meets the shoulder, which would have looked much less jarring than the stripe just ending an inch or so from either end.

I assume that would cost more to manufacture though. I knew I was taking a chance when buying it, and it's far from unwearable. Still....expensive given how blah the printing is.

I bought the warden long sleved thermal and have no problems with that, and the paragon t-shirt looks very nice, but DAMN it's thin.

Well, I'm glad you said something. I'm not paying 58 bucks for that lack of quality. I could sew one myself with material stripes for about that much.

Wish I could sew worth a damn, the material showing through does look worse than pic showa
. I mean, I needed a hoody, and the shops in Ireland are cack, so it's no big tragedy since I got a couple of other items as well, and didn't get stung for customs.
I reckon that'll be my last ever foray into the Bioware store though, even if I'm told I can send it back for a replacement, that's another fortnight's wait and a courier parcel to arrange someone to be in for.

Since all of the ladies seem to be in here right now, I have a question for each of you--How do the Ladies shirts in the small size fit? Aside from the shirts being thin (which I read just now), are they at least comfortable and is the length okay? I realize there's a size chart, but size charts don't tell everything. :P I'd like to know before I purchase a few shirts.

I don't agree with the overall issue on tees. Yes, the tees may be thin but not so thin so that you're able to see a white bra - and I own many white underwear - under a black shirt (N7 and Cerberus tees). I dunno if they changed the fabric or so since June, but I really like my tees. They're comfy...

Jed once mentioned that the tees are slim fit. No plan what that means to US-Americans, but I had to order one size larger than usual (when I order from abroad).

Still: please excuse the current English.

Thanks for the reply! Good to know they're comfy. Also, do you know how long it typically takes an item to recover from being "out of stock"? (Concerning the Scarlet Mass Effect tee)

I got the charcoal paragon tee, and it is comfy and a nice fit - they're fitted, but long enough that you're not going to be showing an inch or two of flesh above the waist of your trousers lol.

The tee actually is very nice, but I do think it very thin. A white bra will work fine, but I do think a charcoal shirt shouldn't allow me to see all the detailing and pattern on my bra from several feet away.

Mine looked like that and I had it replaced. The new one was still a little sloppy though.

I can't answer for the small size since I ordered the 2XL myself, but I agree that the material is thin. It will easily show the outline of your bra if your bra is too tight and it will show the outline of your pants/belt buckle so it's not a good idea to have this be super form fitting. Order a size up to keep it loose if you prefer. (If you've shopped at Old Navy, you'd get the idea since they also have thin fabric for their clothes, too.) I thought the length on the shirts were great. I'd be nervous about putting the shirt in the dryer since I don't know how much it'd shrink. The women shirt sizes are similar to junior shirt sizes. I normally wear large in regular women clothing, but go with 2XL for junior sizes. I posted my pictures of the renegade/N7 ladies' shirts in the other thread to help other people get an idea of how they look.

Edit: The women shirts look great if you wear a white thermal underneath them. It would eliminate the thin issue and it still compliments the figure and the ME theme.

I don't quite get the quality of the printing. That looks like it's been screenprinted by hand, and the opaque inks (they have to be thicker then most due to the light-on-dark printing) are not going to line up nicely on the seamlines. Is this a cost efficiency thing, are they printing them to order? Bizarre.

See, that's why I'm asking. If this is their normal quality I won't waste my time trying to get a replacement.

EDIT. And it took no time at all. At the same time I posted this I contacted Bioware customer support to ask whether it was worth replacing or not. They agreed it was a defect, explained what it probably was, and have shipped a new hoody already!
It only took 2 exchanges, and I wasn't really expecting such a quick response, or a new hoody without having to return the old as it 'was not in sellable condition'.
So apart from anything else, I have nothing but praise for the customer service team.

Haha, fair play to them either way. They sent me a hoody that really shouldn't have shipped in the first place, but they dealt with it very well.

Just got my hoody today (FINALLY), and I have to say it is pretty awesome. However, I concur with the grimfandango... the sleeves hang too baggily around the armpits, and from what I've seen my body type is mostly typical, so I don't think it's an isolated issue.

I think I've gotten used to the armpits now, at least I don't really notice it on a dark hoody. I got my replacement the other day as well, and it's better for sure, but looking at the overseam printing just confirms that material stripes > slapping realllly thick screenprinting ink layers over a stitched seam. The hoody itself is lovely quality, cosy & really soft, but lets be honest, we're spending $58 for the design, which doesn't quite warrant the price tag.
