Ok, some people have been asking when the Lair of the Shadowbroker DLC "takes place" in Mass Effect 2. As in can you play it before the suicide mission or only after.
I went to the font of knowledge (the Mass Effect writers) and asked them. They said:
"Like many of our missions, you can do the Shadowbroker DLC before or after the suicide mission. However, because we understood that most players would be coming to this after the suicide mission, we weighted the dialog much more heavily toward the assumption that the player had already completed it."
So, you CAN do it before you do the suicide mission, but you'll get a different (and possibly more flavorful) reaction if you play it after.
Hope this makes sense.
How can TIM send you info about the SB if you do it AFTER the suicide mission and chose the paragon choice ?
Doesn't matter. You'll just have to accept it. Its the same as if you play Overlord, Firewalker, etc etc Post-Suicide Mission.

You know, in this trailer, Default Shepard seems to be a lot more customized than he usually is. He is wearing different armor mods along with a secondary color pattern different from the normal red. And he's a Vanguard with Assault Rifle training. Why is this, I wonder?
Wow how can you tell all of that!? I wonder if you are really Neo from the matrix and you travelled through your internet connection into the dlc and can actually see the code
Armor and color are self explanitory, everyone can see that. But the player is using the Mattock rifle and uses the vangaurd only move, so yeah, its a custom player no doubt, maybe they just didnt really see fit to switch it all up.

You can play Overlord post-suicide mission as well. It takes place when you WANT it to take place.

Time to finish my run then.
I just wonder what reason there will be for Liara staying out of the SM if done preSM.

This is much more along the lines of info you CANNOT pass up, wether or not you like TIM or not. I hate TIM, but for Liara, I can put those feelings aside.

You CAN play it, but in the timeline it takes place before the suicide mission. Just like if you try recruiting anyone after the suicide mission (Shepard says let's stop the collectors)LPPrince wrote...

well, technically you can't cheat on a video game character.. i find it foolish to believe you have in fact "cheated" on a past character.. i wouldn't expect much in the way of a "cat fight" from anyone on the ship.. dont get your hopes up
