 What's the hype about spectres in your team all of sudden?
I thought Good ol' archangel's kinda like a spectre ( functionally speaking) and he's been around 4 ever..

For real, this trailer is amazing! I can't stop watching it. I was at first afraid for spoilers but now, this trailer just pumped me up more then any thing. There are some spoilers, but none that give away any real information and BioWare did a good job at making it epic and heart pounding, without spoiling. Anywho. gotta try and find time between work and school to finnish my ME2 playthrough 'cause I want to do it after the SM... I find it makes more sense that way.

Anyways.. gonna watch the trailer again, once.. or.. twice then I headed to bed. Thanks alot for all the info provided so far BioWare.. this DLC looks hell worth the wait.

Misunderstood my tukas! The shadow broker helped set up Shepard to die, and then tried to sell his body to the Collectors. He/she/them/it also almost certianly had a hand in giving info on 'vunerable' colonies.

He has at least as much information if not more then the Council or even the Illusive Man/Cerebrus. It knew the consequances if its actions. If it doesn't, then at the very least its in league with the Reapers(who are of course lying to him like they have done to countless species/people) or most likely, indotrinated much like Saren was.

No the Shadow Broker is not 'missunderstood'. We may understand him a little to well, even every war there are proffitteers who will do or say anything to get what they want. He is one such entity and need to be dealth with.

Then again, this is pure speculation and I am counting down the days hours minutes seconds and milliseconds until this thing is released.

If you listen to the audio the Asari Spectre says "someone tried to kill your friend, commander shephard" in the video at that exact point we can see Shepard standing at the other side of those police barrier thingies.  It is my belief that the Asari Spectre was drafted in to investigate the attempted assasination of Liara.

I find it kinda interesting what Liara asks nearly at the end of the trailer (0:44-0:47): "You have any idea what your terrorist friends have done?"

So I think its fair to assume she refers to Cerberus. Perhaps there will be some more Cerberus secrets be revealed? Or perhaps it means nothing at all.

I'll bet that her secretary Nyxeris is the assassin if you didn't identify her as the observer. And that the assassination attempt goes differently depending on that.

The whole point of a forum is to discuss these things, I personally enjoy speculating on what we have seen and trying to put the pieces together.

As a huge Ali Hills/Liara fan that is not her voice at all. That isnt liara saying it. Who I dont know but it isnt her

My opinion before seeing the trailer: It's ME2 DLC, of course I'm buying it, and it sounds kinda interesting.

Or someone who works for the Shadow Broker. Its no secret that Shepard has been working with Cerberus and bad guys always try to turn you to their side.
