This. To the tenth.

I bet you we will finally trap the shadow broker and enter his office and then the chair will spin round and it will actually be a remote computer and the shadow broker will say something like:
"You didn't think I'd risk losing the battle for my Empire in a fistfight with you? No. You need an ace in the hole. Mine's Liara."
*Liara turns to Shepard*
"Sorry - it was the only way I could guarantee Theron's safety"
*Kill Liara - END DLC*
Takes care of the problem of transferring Liara to ME3. That's all I'll say.

I think I may have figured out the beginningAs we know this DLC is designed to be played pre and post suicide. Now the devs have said that "it was designed with post suicide in mind". So here is what I think happens at the beginning :-
Pre-suicide - you get an email from TIM saying "shadow broker been located and for once he isn't in your closet, go and tell Liara". You go to Liara's office and have that discussion that you see at 0.26 in the video and you tell Liara that "Cerebrus gave me data on where to find him, Interested ?" then you go off on a quest to beat the crap out of the shadow broker.
Post-suicide - you get an email from Liara telling you she is in "trouble" you go to illium and as you arrive there is an explosion in Liara's office but she isn't there and you have to find Liara before you can start on the beat crap out of shadow broker quest.
This is of course all wild speculation and naturally we won't know till this coming Tuesday.

Ok, some people have been asking when the Lair of the Shadowbroker DLC "takes place" in Mass Effect 2. As in can you play it before the suicide mission or only after.
I went to the font of knowledge (the Mass Effect writers) and asked them. They said:
"Like many of our missions, you can do the Shadowbroker DLC before or after the suicide mission. However, because we understood that most players would be coming to this after the suicide mission, we weighted the dialog much more heavily toward the assumption that the player had already completed it."
So, you CAN do it before you do the suicide mission, but you'll get a different (and possibly more flavorful) reaction if you play it after.
Hope this makes sense.
Thank you ! That certainly puts the matter to rest.

Speculative ending. You kill the SB. But the network of informants survives. You can either allow Cerberus take over the SB network, or the Citadel Council.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned earlier, but with the exception of (male) Shep and Liara, did Jennifer Hale voice the other characters talking in the trailers? Sure sounded like her.

Liara is voiced by Ali Hillis, not Jennifer Hale.

Uhhhh.... has it been confirmed that we won't be getting any new weapons/armor from this dlc?
I'd really hoped there'd be a new gun or something....

This is all speculation of course. How about Liara takes over the SB network, or Shepard hands it to Cerebrus and Liara is free.
More speculation of course. I am not sure if the Asari spectre is on Shepard's side.
1. Maybe the asari spectre owes the SB a favor. Spectres don't have to play by the rules
2. I am in the middle of a 3rd playthrough of ME1, and have seen that the Shadow Broker is not an illegal entity in Citadel space like Cerebrus is. Cerebus is an enemy of the Council. Maybe the council finds the SB useful, and has the asari spectre to protect the SB.
3. If Shepard let the council die, I question why an Asari Spectre would have any loyalty to the human council. Maybe this is another rogue spectre.
Adding a spectre antagonist would be a brilliant plot device.

I like that idea but why would the council send a Spectre to take out another Spectre that they support(happens if you let the council live and accept their support). A Spectre as important as Commander Shepard, being the only human in the group. Neither Udina or Anderson would let that fly. Or Captain Bailey.
