And then by the end of the ME2 DLC series, she catches Shepard and brings him to the Citadel in irons, and then when all hell breaks loose, ME3 begins. [/pointless but fun speculation/fantasy]

the  Citadel Council did not  exiled  Shepard, to the Terminus systems  and didnt the  asari Council  member said  good luck  with your investigaon  Shepard, we hope for a quick resolution and quick end to relationship with cerbeus

What about if the Shadow Broker is actually a Reaper!  I never thought about that until now.  If you think about, it would make sense.  I need to get these comics before I play this DLC!

Nah, that was just a sudden outburst on my part after I watched the trailer.  If you think about it, why would the Shadow Broker be helping the Collectors in the first place?  A Reaper needs help from another Reaper? And why would a Reaper care about money other than galactic genocide?  Also, the Shadow Broker is referred to as a man, not an entity.

Also, I noticed a little flangling in the voice too, really.  The guy sounds like either a turian or a drell.  Though that may just be a little audio interferance to mask his true voice, and the guy may be a volus for all we know.

It looks like the Shadow Broker liason is on Omega. Could that be where the lair is?

That is Omega without a doubt. Who knows, cant wait for the release though

Maybe the Council (whatever council) wants/needs SB around, or SB has leverage on them. But hoping to take Shepard with one Specter? He took Saren for breakfast and he was the best.

Sounds compelling, but apart from the other concerns, Shepard has the option to regain his spectre status in ME2. The council would in principle pit two of their own against each other (well, maybe the turian counselor would go for it <_<).
I wonder if your ME2 conversation with the council will have an impact on the DLC...

Ok, some people have been asking when the Lair of the Shadowbroker DLC "takes place" in Mass Effect 2. As in can you play it before the suicide mission or only after.

I went to the font of knowledge (the Mass Effect writers) and asked them. They said:

"Like many of our missions, you can do the Shadowbroker DLC before or after the suicide mission. However, because we understood that most players would be coming to this after the suicide mission, we weighted the dialog much more heavily toward the assumption that the player had already completed it."

So, you CAN do it before you do the suicide mission, but you'll get a different (and possibly more flavorful) reaction if you play it after.

Hope this makes sense.

I guess I'll have to do this DLC after the final mission then.

Could be pulling double duty.  You'll hear her anyway if you are using the femShep for this DLC.

The comics are a bit disappointing IMHO, you might get more enjoyment out of them knowing that the DLC is coming very soon.

I think the shadow broker is a rogue AI. Remember in ME1 Barla Von tells you the shadow broker could be him/her/them, (leans towards them) explaining that it would be impossible for 1 person to control all of that information without making mistakes. Something an AI would have no problem doing. And as for the reference to the shadow broker being a he... EDI is referred to as "her" and "she", based on her voice and "personality". If you never met the shadow broker, but heard "him" talk, based on the voice it might sound like a man. Just a thought. Does anyone have any info to disprove this? Either way, can't wait for this DLC!!
