based on the IGN it seems you can actually have Liara IN your party, which gives me hope, if Bioware made the effort to put her in your team and maybe give her some unique ability, she might as well hang out for the rest of the game.

That might certainly be the awesome surprise tha wouldn't be revealed until you actually play the DLC.

Hmm....I wonder, if Liara was a permanent squaddie, what abilities would she have? Hopefully she won't have the generic "Pull, Throw" combo.

i hope there is a great deal of dialogue in this considering there was what 5 minutes dialogue tops between shep and liara ingame and that was pretty sh*t dialogue unless you choose the right options

Bioware said there was a surprise that they did not want to spoil in advance, which suggests that it is a big one, NOT simply getting another unique power or the like. what could be so big that they do not want to even give a hint of what it is?

That's very likely, yes! Maybe that unique power is the "new upgrade for adepts" mentioned by... was it Christina Norman?

There is certainly circumstantial evidence to suggest that Liara might not be leaving the Normandy after this DLC. The information that was released last week seemed to hint at the addtion of "Shadow Broker intel center". Most have assumed this means a new intel center on the Normandy. If that is the case then Liara is exactly the kind of person you want in that intel center.

I am still cautious though whilst I would love to have Liara as a reg on the Normandy I know sometimes these things just don't happen.

Another thing I am hoping for is that we finally get an explanation as to why the Collectors wanted Shepard's body and this time I hope it isn't for the lame reason that you can hear in the cut Liara Audio files.

Well wouldn't it make more sense if Liara was the one out gathering intel and then updated your intel center when she found something?

I can't see Liara staying on the Normandy if you can play LotSB before the final mission. Bioware already said they'd kept certain ME1 characters out of your ME2 team to keep them alive for the third game.

I'm thinking that perhaps the "Shadow Broker Intel Center" is more likely to be a visitable location (maybe the Shadow Broker's base if there's anything left of it by the time Shep and Liara have finished). As has been mentioned, although the DLC can be played pre-SM it is intended to be played post-SM. Could this "Intel Center" be something that facilitates new missions in further DLCs?? Perhaps a new way of recieving mission info?

Yeah, that would seem more likely than an Intel Center being set up on the Normandy. Only 4 or 5 days until we find out I guess...

Hmm, there actually is one place onboard the Normandy that is fully modelled to walk around in. That is the cargo bay. There is not a single squaddie down there. And still, it has lots of space and computers for a "Intel Center". Maybe even a few more Crew Members. Just like on the first Normandy. Even a place to buy new upgrades.



So many possibilities.

I think it was explained in ME2 why the collectors wanted shep: they wanted him/her melted into goo and shep as a part of the Human Reapers main concious
