The return of stasis........

That's possible.  I figure it would work similar to an Engineer's Cryo Blast (enemies are paralyzed for a short duration and take extra damage during this period) except the paralyzing effect would be instantaneous unlike Cryo Blast.

Bad news would be that only Liara could use it and our Sheps couldnt take it as a bonus power....Because if we were to go by the usual SoP, the only time you get bonus powers, is from recruitable squadmates.

Yeah, I do have a feeling Shepard will get to use her bonus power post mission, though.  This will kind of be like  a loyalty mission for her, except she won't be a full squad mate after.

Liara's loyalty mission.... Hm, an interesting way of looking at it.

I hate people with their save editors. Don't like a choice? Click! Want no ME LI? CLICK! Want to be a pure renegade without having to play ME1? CLICK! Want to give Tali the Geth data you would have spent 5 hours on? CLICK!

Seriously, it throws consequences and experiences out the window.

I've played ME1 to death. I have built 8 different level 60 characters(over ~30 playthroughs) and equiped them all with all the best gear the old-fashioned way........scavanging and going through truck loads of loot.....well for the armor and upgrades at least.

So do NOT tell me I haven't 'experienced" ME1.

Let me add a little more to what I said. I'm the type of guy that only plays 2 Shepards, and will never change their past just to experience something different. I also refuse to make another character, because I don't want to lose track of who my characters are, the things they did, and relationship they made, etc. I'm also the type of guy that won't romance someone I don't care about just to see differences.

Different strokes for different folks man....And I understand where you're coming from.  But do NOT imply that you are better in any way because you do this and others dont.  (which you may not have directly but it is precisely how you came off.) Some folks do as you do (such as myself for my first two characters.) But I also have a character for each and every class (Except Adept but Im actually considering making one now that we have access to the Mattock Posted Image).  The way I "keep up" with everything? I literally have a 200+ page notebook dedicated to EVERYTHING Mass Effect 2 related.  Everything from how much resources each of my characters need to get what they "need" (because I dont harvest the entire galaxy and only purchase the upgrades related to Shepard which differ slightly depending on class...Engineer especially) to what LIs each character has, and what decisions Ive made on each simply because I dont want to lose track.  (Speaking of which Im going to need a new notebook soon lol.)

Really? Because they were BOTH pretty damn easy by my standards lol.  Then again, if you've ever blown through Ninja Gaiden on Master setting then you come to realize that there's not a whole lot that can actually "challenge" you from a gaming perspective Posted Image

So? I've experienced everything(except being rude to Tali, just watched that on youtube :P) so perhaps it's you that hasn't experienced enough of ME1. When I edit a choice in Gibbed's I fully remember the quest(s) involved and everything else involved.....allmost Thane style but without talking to myself lol.

Stasis would be a cool bonus power. Instead of pull/warp bombs you could use Stasi intead and have landmines. Would look cool if you stasis a group of enemies then warp

A female friend of mine who usually never wears lipstick just walked into my office a few minutes ago wearing red lipstick.  Did I freak out and say "OMG!  Your lips are a different color.  What's happening!?!  Are you you?"

No.  I did not do that.

And no I'm not bothered by the change in color to Liara's lips.

I ain't saying I'm better or whatever. I'm just saying there's a difference between me working for something, and someone hitting a switch.

However, as there's no room left for additional squadmates on the team-selection screen, I doubt she'll be joining on a permanent basis.

*Hammers head against wall* Why does everybody assume that the team selection screen can't be changed, if necessary?

I'm 90 % sure that Liara won't be joining on a permanent basis, but the team selection screen is pretty much irrelevant.

Dont you know? Bioware are modding ME2, they are not professionals.

Every time someone suggests things for the game people put these stupid comments "It's probably too much work to make a new skin for that bod" "It's probably impossible for them to make helmet removable because it would be too much work", "I doubt Liara will be a squadmate because she wouldnt fit on the squadamte screen".

Lol.

They are PROFESSIONALS, they made the damn game. Nothing I have EVER seen suggested on the forums would be "Too much work". They can change anything, and everything.

Just because someone hits a switch doesn't mean they didn't work for it.....I worked for everything several times in ME1 and remember it all quite clearly....now I'm just saving time. Then there are things that are a complete waste of time to work for.....like scanning for minerals.....that's just mindless repetition without purpose. Then there are things that are just cool.....like putting the eyes of the illusive man on my shepard....shining bright green or color my shep's hair something crazy.....like blue lol. Beyond that I find the paragon/renegade sytem to be very limited and/or buggy. I have to stick strictly to one path if I want to resolve the squad member fights and the Morinth situation is just bugged.....sometimes I can resist her with 75% renegade but other playthroughs I can't resist with 95% renegade. I don't care to having to follow one path all the time....I want to be able to play how I want and make the choices that make the most sense to me not always worry that I won't be able to use common sense to cool off a fight because I don't have enough **** points(to put it in yahtee's words).

liara's new look doesn't bother me, cause she is still an asari badass, so she changed the color of her lipstick BFD, you ever think that maybe she got tired of the old color of lipstick she was using, that is assuming asari use lipstick

I dont mind Liara's new look. More detailed and photo realistic. She still has the same overall shape to her face though. Easily recongizable.

Probably her new bonus power will be bound to an achievement. I just hope we can unlock it during the mission and be allowed to get it for our Shepard. Maybe there will be a console in the intel center to do that.

Sigh. I guess some of you are just hell-bent on believing the Dirty Dozen is going to become the Baker's Dozen.

I LOL'd so hard at this...."The Baker's Dozen"
As Ive already said Clennon; The Liara Crowd is going to hold on to even the faintest embers of hope (as ill founded as it is.) until they are ultimately proven wrong.  And then when they ARE proven wrong, they'll be back here, swearing and cursing at BioWare telling them how they got cheated out of their money on the DLC....You watch...It'll happen lol Posted Image

the liara crowd are a bunch of obsessed people

Compared to Talimancers...? What have you been smoking? ;) Hell, I founded the Liara fan club and I know and hope she is not going to be a squadmate. Try that on for size.

It makes sense.

jlb524 wrote...

I would love to have Liara on the Normandy as a non-squad mate. I still think this Intel Center will be located somewhere else, though, and Liara will be stationed there.

Me too. Anyway, i say again: i don't care if Liara will be a recruitable member, or not. All i want, as many Liara's fan i think, is a great DLC and the chance to continue the relationship for ME3, and we will have both. Just my opinion.

Stereotypes are fun!

In all seriousness though, nice to see a level-headed fan who's looking at things logically.
