I'm fairly certain it's coming. It's just a matter of when.

Check out the last paragraph.
Well that's just sad.
Even though it's taken this long to produce the DLC, it was supposedly planned from the beginning of the making of ME2.
Hell, they recorded lines that they never even used so they could have at least recorded a few random and/or generic lines for use in DLC while they were recording everything else.
Even if they did have to get the voice cast back, it's not as if Bioware don't know that this DLC is going to rake in a rediculous amount of cash. A rediculous amount of cash that in my opinion should be more than enough to cover the costs.
It won't stop me buying it, but i'm very dissapointed that yet again the teammates don't matter and immersion goes out the window.
BW's "reason" for no squad VA in the DLCs is the biggest load of BS they've shoveled yet. Pity, as I think most people would sympathize with them if they just told the truth. I'm sure it would be expensive to get all the VAs back.

They did say that it would be expensive, thus, they didn't.

BioWare's official response says the DLC packs are about certain characters, so the teammates are peripheral in those instances, but more likely it's because hauling in 13 voice actors to record brief snippets is quite a hassle.

I agree that it's a deal breaker (I was fairly vocal about it in the Overlord impressions thread) but it's understandable bringing back 13 voice actors for what would probably be a fairly low number of lines would not only be expensive but extremely difficult to coordinate, remember some voice actors are actors as well, probably with a busy agenda too.
The DLC is no doubt looking good though, longer, more substantial, connected to the main story line and with more characters (even if party members are silent) can't wait for Tuesday.

So, if anyone can help me:
1) Will it be released first on Xbox Live? At what time (approximately)?
2) Bioware will release only for PC, right? So, if Microsoft will release at 8:00 for example, at what time will Bioware release? after 2-3 hrs?
3) There are some hours (for example 9:00, 10:00, 12:00 edmonton time) that are most likely for release?
Considering the +8 time zone for italy, i will probably be able to play the DLC in the evening.
I'm looking forward:wub:

To be fair they did admit the real reason was the main reason with the emphasis on "but more" so it's a matter of perspective here. Is the glass half empty or is it half full?

Find a mobile hotspot in your town/campus, bring your TV and Xbox, link up with their wifi and download it.
I'm not kidding.

Or just the Xbox and whatever you use for wireless. To download just set it up before hand using your Live account on XBox.com, set it up for the download. Turn your Xbox on, it should immediately connect to the wireless. Then wait about 30-40 seconds. Your console should be on and working by this point. Press the blades button(the center X) and flick your stick to the left quickly twice. Flick your left stick down twice more. Hit A and the download should begin. I can't tell you how long it will take but depending on the speed you may want a book. You can bring a small TV(I mean like a 10" one) and then hook it up to keep track of the speed.xlavaina wrote...

Of course, alternatively, you should be able to just plug an ethernet cable from your Xbox into your PC and regardless of the internet type you should be able to make a network bridge.

Yeah... that was gamesradar, not Bioware. They still would like to keep their players happy and ignorant... I do love Bioware though, they're very open but like most companies, if a more ambiguous answer keeps a slew of "MAN, THEY'RE CHEAP!!!" comments out of anything related to them, it's better to nudge the truth a little.Darth_Trethon wrote...

So? What's the difference? Do you need their marketing department to tell for it to be truth? They are a large company and part of EA....they need to watch every word they publically say so that they won't scare investors. EA has stock values.....if they say it's expensive to call back 14 actors for dialogue rumors start to fly that they are in a financial hole but perhaps they just want to have the DLC not cost 15 or 20. And yes voice recording is insanely expensive.
