Never heard of looters? thieves? The man was out there alone and antagonizing people. Remember all those desperate people who attack you if you try to leave Lothering?
He had armed guards at his side and was following the laws. I don't see how you can call him stupid because other people would be willing to attack him.
Wait wait... he had armed guards? Well that changes everything.

I'm not saying that he shouldn't have hosted the rally in washington, I'm just saying that he can weep on command and his head looks like an undercooked ham. And try not to sound so condescending. It's no way to win an argument, it just makes people mad.serjwolf wrote...
I guess you children forgot we are discussing morrigan. If you wish to boohoo about a man holding a peaceful rally to honor American Veterans and to promote constitutional morals and values then take it somehwere else.bobobo878 wrote...

As a African American i can Firmly say He IS an ass hole
I'm going to infer you watch one of the 3 big news media outlets or your parents/significant other feeds you the crap. This article should be good reading for you two:

I didn't know that Sten approved of that. I thought he was against magic in general? How odd.
Me = -10 approval
See, in my Warden universe, that never happened. So it doesn't count.
On another note, has anyone killed the elves via blood ritual in the Alienage while playing as a City Elf? Because that would mean killing your own father right? Which makes the City Elf origin even more intriguing (after Aeducan, probably the most interesting origin).

Don't you dare talk of your King like that. He is the Chuch Norris of Ferelden, and his "death" was merely faked.

Well, whenever someone starts comparing people they don't like to ****s and Communists, it only tells you that they have nothing to teach you and cannot appropriately gauge human suffering.ProudNegro wrote...

I used the term "most" for the dramatic effect. I don't really know who the "most" evil dictator is, God (if he exists at all) is the only being who would be able to judge something of that magnitude. Also, tried using Pinochet and Milosevic but they didn't really fit in well with a "Imma let you finish" sentence, rhythm-wise.
God can't be a judge since he does not interfere in your life directly or indirectly. There are people who claim he does.
The most evil you ask?
here.
Fix'd.
Sorry.
Kay. I had to lol really hard at this one.

She has obviously stolen the Broken parts of the Tevinter Mirror it seems (which MAY be the Dalish artifact the ad talks of OR something in addition to it). The dialogue indicates that she will use it (successfully) to search for Other Mirrors. The purpose of the Mirror was to look into Arlathan/Black city and it was radiating the Darkspawn taint. Morrigan's dialogue also suggests that the Mirror MAY be in fact a DOOR into Arlathan/Black city. So she is either trying to awaken something or gain an entry onto wherever it leads.
NICE. GUESS.
Oh lord, they've decided to make the Chantry explanation of darkspawn true. There's a disappointment.
Perhaps not (I hope not). Given how Bioware really likes making things complicated, maybe there's more to it than we think. Perhaps the Chantry is knowingly telling us something that isn't true? Perhaps they've had a hand in creating the darkspawn? Perhaps Andraste did? It would make for a nice twist. It would also explain Morrigan's scorn for the Chantry.

It was a good opportunity. You turn some useless elves into a boost of your health for free. A great deal. Sten does not approves when people are wasted for nothing, like when he killed farmers for nothing - just wasted them.filaminstrel wrote...
I think you guys are trying too hard to rationalize instances of shoddy writing as having deep philosophical reasoning regarding these characters' personalities. Sten should not have approved of killing innocent people via blood magic via a Tevinter ****ing mage. That's just ludicrous. I don't think Morrigan should have approved of it either.

This. At times they went with the "they are D&D Evil! Have dissaproval/approval here". But D&D based alignments don´t work in DA but for a few characters. Howe and Vaughn are the only ones I can think of.

I got the feeling that maybe Sten just doesn't like elves very much, but I haven't played through enough times to confirm that. I can't seem to get his offhand commentary to trigger reliably.
Don´t know about Sten, but elves have better/equal rights under the Qun, and Sten is a firm believer. He has issues with women´s proper place in society (which in the Qun can be HIGH), but don´t remeber any mentions to race.

* Sten: There are elves everywhere.
* Zevran: Hm. Yes. Well, I've heard that the qunari actually put the elves in charge? Over the humans? Is that true?
* Sten: Some of them.
* Zevran: Only some? Which ones are they?
* Sten: The ones who belong in charge. That is the way of the Qun.
* Zevran: How does this Qun determine who belongs in charge?
* Sten: The tamassrans evaluate everyone and place them where their talents merit.
* Zevran: But elves, in general, merit higher places than humans in qunari society?
* Sten: Some of them.
* Zevran: Back where we began. It's like talking to a water wheel.
--------------------------------------------------------
Zevran: You seem to have quite the disdainful attitude towards elves, my qunari friend.
Sten: Don't take it personally, elf. I have a disdainful attitude towards everyone.

Now thats just lazy writing. Its your dad for chrissakes. <_< No other origin allows you to kill a family member (save for Bhelen, but he is a jerk so whatevs) and this subplot should have been exploited.

People tried to make that kind of argument before, that Sten views the peasants he killed in an entirely dispassionate way and doesn't care about the fact that he killed them except inasmuch as they could have been useful and/or it was an insult to his honor, but then Mary Kirby came in and shut that down. He does respect the lives of the innocent, even the bas (non-Qunari), and it's his duty to protect them.
