Urm, I don't "hate" her, in fact she is 3 times out of 5 usually in my party just because banter is a little more fun when she is around, but your idea of what is "politically correct" is kind of weird.

Example:
Not being politically correct = Is to use the term "midgets" instead of "little people".
Unabashed cruelty = Is to support the death and destruction of other people (like the elves and the mages) because they are weak/just because/it will bring you some sort of gain like +1 Constitution :wizard:

Being an apostate it isn't that surprising that she views circle mages with disdain.

And who likes elves anyway?

But even then, it's the thought that counts. If you're taking it in a real world setting, you don't know exactly how much of a boost you'd be getting, you only know you'd be getting stronger and Morrigan believes in self power above all. "Why would you let a few poor people live when you can get stronger to stop the blight?"

This is one of the few times where Morrigan as a character actually made sense to me. I don't care that she's evil, only that most of the time it's pointless and petty evil for no gain.

Political correctness isn't just about the term you use. Its more about how you go about something. People in general because of media backlash and so forth never speak their mind because someone somewhere is going to disagree with it mightly. Holding back and saying nothing at all, or sugar coating it with less abrassive terms are both forms of political correctness.

She has obviously stolen the Broken parts of the Tevinter Mirror it seems (which MAY be the Dalish artifact the ad talks of OR something in addition to it). The dialogue indicates that she will use it (successfully) to search for Other Mirrors. The purpose of the Mirror was to look into Arlathan/Black city and it was radiating the Darkspawn taint. Morrigan's dialogue also suggests that the Mirror MAY be in fact a DOOR into Arlathan/Black city. So she is either trying to awaken something or gain an entry onto wherever it leads.

NICE. GUESS.

Oh lord, they've decided to make the Chantry explanation of darkspawn true. There's a disappointment.

Well, even assuming the above analysis is correct, it migth not be so. Even if it goes all the way to the Black City being the origin of the Taint, and it originatign with the Magister's entrance, there is no guarantee that it has anything to do with the Maker. I mean, what if the city was the source of the taint and the Magisters released it?The Chantry's version can be partly right and partly wrong. This isn't an all in kind of explanation. That said, the Arlathan = Black City theory is oneI've had for a while. I'd kinda like to see it corroborated simply due to personal satisfaction.

Either way, this DLC is gonna rock. Even if it is only 2-3 hours long.

Morrigan likes kicking the weak while they are down, yet has no problems helping an imprisoned blood mage or an imprisoned qunari who surrendered. however, she complains when you side with the mages in the tower.

There is nothing realistic about Morrigan. She is a confused and selfish child. Anyone who bedded her effectively commited child rape, because she has the mind of a spoiled 12 year old.

Barring stupidity, who do you think in the game was realistic?

Leliana? An assassin finding shelter in Jesus?
Sten? Who is from a fantasy race that lives in communism AND progresses without its effects on economy?
Oghren?  (ha!)
Alistair? (Ok, granted he may be a BIT realistic)

Its a Game! A fantasy game at that.... Crazyness is expected... Demanding realism, political correctness in a computer game (beyond certain level) is purely idiotic, in my opinion. The perfect example is Bastilla, who, if the game is to be believed, cracks after 3 mins of torture and becomes a Sith.

As Dave said, Morrigan believes in power above all else.  She also hates oppression and repression.  Above all else, Morrigan despises a passive dispostion. From her perspective, destroying the Tower of Magi is blow against an opressive organization.  Freeing Jowan is about releasing an opressed being.  Finally, Morrigan was raised in isolation in the wilds.  She learned that the fittest survived on the weakness of  those around her.  To her destroying the weakness around her is simply "culling the herd" of those not worthy to survive.  Thus, it is acceptable to kill the elves for power as they allowed themselves to be enslaved and trod upon.  This is also why she truly dislikes Alistair.  His passive personality is not only foreign, it is abhorent.

But Morrigan herself was weak, a second-rate mage. Would she disapprove if I drove a blade into her moldy heart? Survival of the fittest is a broken and ridiculous stance to take, because everyone is weak relative to someone or something.

I can "prove" her supposed philosophy by intimidating the merchant into giving his goods for cheaper, yet morrigan disapproves. Did I not put this "weakling merchant" in his place? Or is Morrigan simply a hypocrite? Or an idiot? The merchant wasn't strong enough to drive off those poor people and asked ME to do it.

Not really, its only a comparison, and an appropriate one. Saying "godwins law" doesnt discredit the comparison, it only points out that the comparison was used

Erm, *delicate facepalm* honesty and outspokenness is a commendable attitude. Especially to fly against popular opinions and general conventions. I'm not denying that Morrigan had a strong backbone. However Morrigan wasn't just "outspoken". Hell, all the companions were more or less blunt when they got angry enough, and they were very vocal about their opinions. It wasn't a case of "how you say it" for Morrigan, it was what she was advocating. Otherwise we could just say Milosevic was just a not very PC kind of guy.
