Im assuming Arcane warrior, but who knows

From the trailer I'd say he's a warrior with the ability to do a bit of blood magic on the side.

He be a mage for variety of reasons:



1) Weapon being staff the Director cut version stating that staves are now melee weapons.

2) He used a glyph on the QUnari in midst of battle.

3) Blood magic

4) Using a Spell fatality

It was a bit messy... There was primal magic(both fire and lightning), creation magic(some weird glyph), and bloodmagic. And he's a warrior too....eh...

What you see in the trailer is a hybrid class. It's the only way to showcase Hawke's awesomeness as a warrior or a mage in a 2 minute video.

He's definitely a mage. The arms of death thing at the end is performable in game by Mages.

Hawke is a mage, rogue or warrior, Read the FAQ. - Not a hybrid, it's showcasing in the 2 minutes CGI introduction trailer.

I think that he is a Zealot. Those abilities you see are granted by Tzeentch.

They just threw a bunch of stuff together for the CGI trailer, I doubt it's represenative of very much in game. I suppose he could be an AW, if that spec is even in DA2.

I would probably say an Arcane Warrior (Mage) unless its a new hybrid class (which I doubt). I really do hope they have that sword-staff in the game!



-Side note: I love red mages, favorite Final Fantasy class.

maybe there is a new class system in dragon age 2 that mix the abilities like in the mass effect
