Gremlins - I watch it at least once a year. One of my favorite films.

Seven Samurai - An epic. Awesome
I so agree with you. Kurosawa was the best. Have you seen Rashamon? Ikuru? Yohimbo? They all rock...

It's quite amazing how much work went into the pre-production.

Zardoz (early 70s) and Sunshine (2007)
Actually I can't really say that I liked Zardoz, but all I know is that it is all I think about
Zardoz? Wow, that movie is incredibly.......................................wierd? Is that the one with Sean?
yes an incredibly deep and dense surreal film with sean connery in a red mankini.. people do not watch it. do not go there

I was impressed with how fast it went to 0 on the reality scale. The begining is quite hilarious, if not disturbing.
I just watched Son of Rambow, and while it not being 5 star, I was glued to the screen for the full length of it.

Machete was pretty good, though not what I expected.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is the movie I enjoyed the most.

9 : much better than I thought it would be. Definitely not what I would call a Kid's Movie.
Kick-Ass! Not the best movie, but there are elements to it that make it worth the worst parts.
The Invention of Lying. Not super fast moving, but an awesome premise and relatively funny.
The Book of Eli.
The Road.
The Losers.
Hot Tub Time Machine (much better and a LOT funnier than I suspected it would be)
Layer Cake
Our Family Wedding (also a lot funnier than I thought it would be, even if it is pretty formulaic in all details)
The Backup Plan
Terminator: Salvation
The Guardians (The Owls of Ga'hoole) : Okay, I have to say it wasn't bad, wasn't great. Animation was awesome, though. And someone who wrote the books obviously liked Warren Zevon, (Ga'Hooole, werewolves of London, Ga'Hoole.)
Men In Black (again)
Bulletproof Monk ("For someone who says he wants to, '...Kick my freaky ass,' you do a lot of talking.")
Galaxy Quest (my newest favorite spoof film. It's chock full of great lines.)
Shutter Island (not horribly surprising, but a good tale and interesting. I was still sort of guessing close to the end.)
Inglourious Basterds (A fairy tale set in WWII, funny and a great part for Brad Pitt, so unlike his hapless character in Burn After Reading. This is one of Quentin Tarantino's better films, though not on par with Four Rooms or Pulp Fiction.)
Legion (much better than I thought it would be. Great part for Paul Bettany.)
The Young Victoria (highly underrated and while a bit slow, it's a great period piece.)
the Wolfman (proves that both Benicio del Toro and Anthony Hopkins still 'have it.')
The Lovely Bones
The Green Zone
I did mention I don't have broadcast TV, right? So I watch videos or go to the movies.

Recently. Hmm, I do a lot of DVD watching of older titles so (plus I sort of regularly go to my local hicktown theater.)
Same. I've also been watching a lot on Netflix instantly through my PS3.
