There's no such conversation with any version of the player. Possibly, this is a mod someone added.

I'm pretty sure that there is a conversation, that if one is the type to read into subtext that may not really be there, could be construed (by us desperate folk) as alluding to a relationship (in the vaguest of terms). I'm not saying it was intentional or anything but I do recall doing a slight double take at even the faintest idea that Merrill and my Dalish Elf Warden may have had a relationship.  You know how us forumites can be when it comes to the barest hint of a romance Might just have to fire up DAO to confirm it one way or the other myself.

I hardly ever played as an elf, and when I did it was almost always a City Elf. The only thing I didn't like was that you were always stuck with a dude at the very beginning, would've been nice to have some kind of choice there, but it was OK because he died pretty quick, and you end up in what feels like a romance with Shianni, after saving her from the evil dude. So that was by far my favorite way to play as an elf .

Hunting down a rapist in his own Estate because he has kidnapped you and your Cousin and taken her away = Romance?

More like Loyalty and love for your Family.

Thank you Mary. It's impossible to keep all the fan speculation/fanon/wishful thinking from the wiki, but every little bit helps.

I saw this idea on a thread . Do you think the story will catch up to the game ? If so do you think Cassandra could be a Fem /Fem LI ? I would love to see it happen . Imagine if Hawke was an Apostate Mage , Hawke on one side of the Mage argument and Cassandra on the other but they have an instant attraction maybe even they share a kiss but they can`t be togeather because of their views on magic . Their romance could go down the rivalry path or you have 10 years (minus the time it takes to meet ) to turn her opinion around .

That would be interesting, but I get the feeling you never meet Cassandra ingame. She only appears when talking to Varric about Hawke's rise to power.

But yes, a templar/apostate mage romance would be interesting. Not sure what lies that way except heartache though..

I guess if you romanced Morrigan with out DLC it ended in heartache .
