That would be my one problem with it... the s/s rogue has become a total cliché. We're crying out for something different...!

But a fem qunari wouldn't likely be a rogue, more of "smash everything in sight" warrior type. So I guess that's another plus of the fem qunari option.

A fem qunari, by what we know, wouldn't be anything, since they're forbidden to fight, and their mages are treated somewhat less than pleasantly.

Besides, you're stereotyping.  Qunari can't be describe by a handful of words, such as elves being a lithe people who excel at poverty.

We know very little of the Qunari other than what Sten tells us in Origins. Based on what he says, fem qunaris wouldn't even be allowed to fight so I guess that tosses out the idea of a f!qunari warrior or rogue out of the window.

Unless she's a Tal'Vashoth of course! She could be defiant and refuse to accept the role given to her by the Qun.

Neverwinter Nights 2 teaches us that stereotypical companions aren't exactly a bad thing.  Besides, stereotypes are more often than not simply first impressions.  I dearly hope that BioWare is going to give them enough development so that there's really no stereotyping whatsoever.

I'm not so sure about this Qunari LI idea. Every time I hear the word Qunari all I can think of is Sten, and while I like Sten well enough as a companion, I would really hate having a Qunari female answering "No" to every question I ask.

That could be a very interesting angle to examien but it's probably never going to happen. Imagine poor Bethany breaking down and moanign about how she can't blast darkspawn to chunks anymore because she's all heartbroken and wants to go off and be alone for a chapter or two.......
