I actually fell hard for Aveline when I hard her voice in the recent Dragon Age 2 Making of Part 2 Video. I would love to have her as the bisexual romance but I have a feeling it has already been decided as Isabela. Oh well, I will romance her when I play Male!Hawke
Yes, they picked a beautiful voice for her. Almost shockingly in contrast to her almost-severe look, which I *really* like about the choice. It was almost....hypnotically melodic in cadence. ( From as much as you can tell from a sentence or so lol) It actually sounds very familiar to me but I can't place it. I have been trying. lol Has a similar regal breathiness as Samara in ME2: loved that voice too.
I wish she would have been the F/F romance also. Isabela is wonderful I am sure, but not my female Hawke's type really (from what we know). IF Evaline is romanceable, it will be the first playthrough I go through entirely as a male just to do so if she is anything as she seems. Looks like too good a character to pass by without getting to know.

I agree that the F/F LI will most likely be Isabella, but I'm totally hoping for Aveline! I guess it's possible we'll have 2 f/f options...
Oooo!!! Christmas would come twice???:wizard:
:O
I would be happy for both of the above.... and then Leliana would come and visit on the days that they're...okay, wait... got a little carried away
Two choices would be awesome and I would go and sing DA 2's praises in the streets... after I had played it 30 times or so.
HA! I guess twice is just wishful thinking, but hey a girl can dream right?
well I'm with you on that dream

And Aveline is awesome. It's just that the uncertainty of her being a LI is killing me, let alone the possibility of her being a same sex romance option..

Um, that would pretty much be a one-way trip seeing as how we have no child's soul to trade this time. And honestly, I don't like the 'dark side' so... no dezzy deems for me
Isabela or Aveline or whoever else is female = fair game
and don't forget.. all you PCers will have a trillion mods going as well so you can make anybody look like whoever you want.

We can hope! But the only real indicator from the devs that we've had so far was a fairly half-hearted, "We'll see about a toolset...eventually." Hardly a guarantee.Nadia73 wrote...

Hah clever...
Although to be proper a brothel it should be "La" Nymph since "Le" is masculine.
I have a feeling we will never see Orlais but I can dream for DA3

I know what you mean - I'd like to see Orlais - but the thought of all those English and American voice actors doing dodgy French accents makes my skin crawl!

Oh you know someone (or several people!) will make up their own project and hack into the game and make their own toolset then spread it around for all to use. There's plenty of people with enough want for mods, so you KNOW it will be out there, legit or not.

Unfortuantely, no one has done it for Awakening yet.Nadia73 wrote...

There are plenty of elements in DA:A that are "inaccessible", yet I haven't seen a "community-developed" replacement for the officially released Toolset (which hasn't been updated since version 1.01, in Dec 2009.) Only complaints about there not being a newer version...

really? wow- with all the peeps on this site, I figured everything would be covered by now. I guess demand is low maybe? I don't do PC gaming so I only hear stuff about mods and whatnot.. I'd be too afraid my PC would crash with all the extras

The way that a character looks can show what he's like as a person - Alistair just looks goofy and Morrigan looks like a promiscuous ice queen. Bethany looks like a fiery person with a very dominant personality, Varric really strikes me as a straight, although very promiscuous and hedonistic. Merril just looks straight to me - maybe FemHawke could fill the role of the cool big sis.

While Isabela is obviously f/f, from what I've seen Aveline really strikes me as straight. Merril too, because virginal girls next door usually end up with the nice guys(it's a cliche). While BioWare really like to destroy stereotypes, I think Merril just doesn't have this bi aura that Isabela or Leliana possess.

I'll be happy with either Isabela or Aveline, BUT not Merril

Bioware really doesn't destroy stereotypes. Both the bi LIs in origins were foreign rogues. Isabela is probably going to be the f/f LI and she is a foreign rogue...again. I read in one of their character things that Aveline considers herself a Ferelden. That means she is most likely not going to be a f/f LI. At least the switched up the name starting with "L" is the f/f love interest though.brain_damage wrote...
