I would.

I would feel maybe...icky for doing so, but I would.  I'd prefer it being included for free, though.

Those who hate DLC will flame me, but I totally would. DLCs should be meaningful additions to the game, and this would certainly be a meaningful addition.

Although I assume we're talking about an additional F/F LI, right? Because if there is not F/F LI in the main game at all...

I did mean additional... but if a BW game were to exclude f/f altogether (although I can't imagine where I would get such a scenario from...!) would you pay to download an f/f relationship? Or even some kind of relationship pack?

I would purchase the DLC even if it was an additional romance....unless the character really didn't interest me for some reason.

I especially would if there were none in game and my FemHawke was to be stuck with only dudes for an option.

Will the day ever dawn where we might actually get two? F/F romances, I mean.

I doubt it...people complain that one is enough 'fanservice'.

I also think they will always try to have at least one straight LI for those that don't want to share 'their woman' with the fem gendered PC.

In addition,  s/s content isn't used as much as o/s content thus, given a bisexual romance, more will play through the m/f version than the f/f version.   Because of that, I don't see them ever creating two f/f romances in one game.  Heck, the Mass Effect series thus far only has one f/f romance over 2 games.

I'm at the point that this is pretty much the only carrot to get me to pay for a DLC -- I'd pay for extra love interests, yes. I evaluated all the DLCs for Origins after the crappy way Witch Hunt wrapped things up and I realized they had all been solid "mehs" across the board. I really was better off watching them on youtube. I know they said they've listened to the fans and will make DLCs more Hawke focused, but I will still wait for the youtube videos. I have zero interest in Sebastian unless he's a LI. The lack of LIs in Awakening bored me enough that I only ran through it twice. (Couldn't even shag that woman in the inn!) I don't know why I'd pay $7 for a character that is more of the same old, same old. After we got Shale, how many times did we keep her in our party after doing a playthrough with her? YMMV.

I would pay with fingers or eyebrows or years off my life for an F/F ONLY DLC character.

Personally, with Aveline gone, I have a weird feeling that f/f is gone. I feel a bait-and-swich coming on.

I mean this in the politest way possible but you are being paranoid at this point.  Devs have confirmed, multiple times that there have been no backwards steps when it comes to romances for various orientations.  Devs have outright confirmed a M/M romance and those are way more controversial and appealing to an even smaller player base than F/F.  They may even have outright confirmed F/F but I don't recall seeing it myself.  It's fine to disagree with devs, argue for greater  inclusion and the like but implying that they are deliberately lying isn't cool.  If you know of a development team that is more supportive, particularily in story based RPG's of Bioware quality (where your/other characters sexuality actually impacts the story/romances) then I'd like to hear about them.

No honestly I would because I might be interested in their games.

I can't find the actual quote, buuut hasn't Isabela been confirmed as the f/f option? The wiki and several posters here seem to think so.

The only indication that Isabela may be a f/f LI is that she was bi in Origins.  Merril was also attracted to the fairer sex.

Both have more or less confirmed to be romance options, by virture of there only being three non-related females in the party, and one of them confirmed to NOT be a love interest.

So, if BioWare follows the Origins model, only one will be a f/f LI.  Both would make sense, but because Isabela is, by virtue of the CGI budget, the leading lady, she's likely to be stuffed in the straight fridge.

That has been repeatedly debunked by the devs. In this very thread by Mary. They even went through the dialouge trees and notes because they kept hearing about it and even they were starting to wonder if it was true.  It's not.

Merrill apparently didn't show interest in anyone in Origins. Some people have thought she seemed ~close~ to the PC, but the writers definitely don't think so.

It didn't used to say "confirmed as a romance" on Isabela's wiki profile until just a little while ago. And I don't think I saw any of the people going "confirmed!" around here get refuted lately? But it could just be a rumor running wild, I guess.

Nobody alive wants f/f more than me, I assure you. If it were up to me, I'd want every character for every gender, as happens in the Pathfinder tabletop RPG (the devs there won't let you specify a gender preference for an NPC).

But everyone assumes Isabela will be a f/f LI simply because she was bi in DAO.

Has anyone actually 100% confirmed this? Or are we just assuming?

Also... can anyone see why I might be just a tad suspicious after the betrayal of ME2?

Jack is confirmed bisexual in ME2. But she's a male-only LI.

Bioware throw us scraps.

That's more than other developers do, but please don't think they throw us gay gamers anything but scraps.

But that's a topic for another day.  Right now I'll take their scraps.  But I'm not convinced f/f is in.  They assumed the same in ME2.

According to Casey Hudson, there isn't ANY f/f in any ME game.

'monogendered' has been retconned to mean 'asexual'.

Even though it's right there in the Codex and everything.

Heck, there's even a gay guy in the novels.  But that was written by Drew K, and Bioware seem to be trying hard to retcon him, too.

1. Because a tabletop game it really equal to a triple AAA budgeted CRPG with voiced protagnist, NPCs and a set storyline. :? *Imagines trying to find a gay accepting tabletop group for a particular rpg in a small town with more churches than any other buisness and where the KKK is active*  Yeah that's not really an option for many people.

2. Isabela in particular? No.  Someone? Yes.  I suggest friending the various developers/mods and reading their posts to help you become informed.

3. Different dev team and there was no betrayal.  Don't get me wrong it sucks but there was no F/F romanes in the first Mass Effect.  We got a half one in ME2, sadly no M/M for equality amongst the gays.  I doubt we'll get fair treatment in ME3 but there is always hope.

4. No /Sten.  And the implications you take from that are disturbing.  So if someone is in an abusive relationship that makes them change their sexualities?  That kind of thinking is one thing many gay rights organizations are fighting to dispell.Again it sucks and I wish Jack was bi but her sleeping with a woman doesn't make her bisexual.

As I said in the demo threads people need to learn to manage their entitlment and expectation issues.
