I understand anybody's concern after what happened with ME2. While its pretty obvious that those concerns don't seem to be accurate, the fact is we had Jack all but confirmed for ME2, and Tali as a safe bet as well, but then they got cut out, so its not like people are 'paranoid' who fear it happening again. ME2 turned into exactly what somebody asked about a few hours ago, no f/f teammates at all, except in DLC (LotSB was amazingly awesome, I actually just played that recently, incredibly beautiful romance with Liara, and who knew that the reporter, the one you can talk to or punch in both ME and ME2, was a lesbian too? That was hilariously awesome 'security camera footage', of like every alien race hitting her when she tries to interview them, except the Asari who she makes out with).
Before we heard about Aveline not being an LI after all, I'd have said it was a pretty safe bet that Isabella and Merrill were the f/f options, with Aveline being the male-only one, but now that there are only two, even though the higher ups did go WAY out of their way to debunk the myth that Merrill was 'straight' in DAO (which she clearly wasn't) it just seems like a logical guess that Isabella would be the only f/f option before mods. Hopefully that's wrong, and both will still be an option, but in any event I don't believe there's any real reason to fear an ME2-style removal of all of our LIs. I'm also hopeful that the non-teammate romance could be pretty good too, considering how awesome Kelly was in ME2. Quite honestly, if we did end up with Isabella, Merrill, and an awesome Kelly-like non-teammate LI to choose from, I can't imagine how I would choose between them
