Various people said that they would be disappointed if there weren't any romances available at all, but would still buy it and play it.

You are either very young, or extremely unfortunate. Please troll elsewhere.

Are you that against m/f romances? you complained there were to many male romances on the Lel thread for some reason. For what its worth i liked the bi li's more the the straight ones, but idk if i want an all ****** character.

Yeah, I'm always amazed at the people who complain about things that they can control themselves. Regardless of the "orientation" of any of the NPCs, somehow I don't think BioWare is going to have them "force" their attentions onto the PC.
So the only way one discovers (on one's own, as opposed to searching outside the game for answers) that they *might* be interested in a s/s romance is to FAIL to decline, or to ACTIVELY INITIATE an advance. Don't like/want? Fine. It's all "up to you."
And the only way to confirm that a particular NPC is exclusively interested in s/s, is to play the game through as both genders (perhaps multiple times, depending on options and choices) and see.
Otherwise, how/why could "a ******" character possibly be a problem?

Or maybe, the complaint is just poorly stated...
Maybe it's not, "I don't like homosexual characters."
Maybe it's, "Why couldn't [Preferred NPC] at least have been bi? I so wanted to hit that, but s/he wasn't interested because my PC was a wo/man!"

Yeah, I think that's the thing that bothers most people about a ****** character. That they would be missing on the opportunity to romance them because they refuse to play the game as the other gender.
It's either that or homophobia.zahra wrote...

Obvs, I was being sarcastic. I just don't understand people who are so against homosexuality depicted in-game when it is an option, like what weapons you wear and what specializations you choose.

It would lend an extra layer of reality. In real life there are straight, bi, and gay people. It would've been great if that was also true of the gameworld in DA.
But it ain't happening so let's just hope for some truly awesome bi LIs.

?
The "so you enjoy the company of other women" line is chosen by the Warden. Leliana compliments your hair, and you can choose to take it as a simple compliment from a friend, or choose this line to initiate a romance. If you take any compliments about your appearance from other women as a general sign of "she is totally gay for me", then you either don't have any female friends, or need better hair styling products. Women like complimenting each other. Its something called "being nice" and "friendship".
