Well, Silk Fox and Liara were similar in that they had never fallen in love before until they met the main character, while Leliana was different in that she had been in love with Marjolaine. I tend to like more the former than the latter as a backstory, as it naturally feels more 'special' that way, but certainly Leliana's backstory was also quite interesting. Since we don't know for sure who will or won't be LIs in DA2 yet its all speculation, but I'd say there's potential for the Pirate Lady to be more like Leliana, while Aveline the fighter would be sort of like the other two in a way, in that while she presumably fell in love with the Templar guy, she probably has never fallen for a woman before, so the romance would still have a uniqueness/specialness to it similar to Silk Fox and Liara. I imagine of the two I would like that backstory better.

To be honest I wouldn't want BW to feel pressured into providing purely homosexual LIs. It just risks diluting their resources to provide extra LIs. Look at ME2. More options (none of them s/s <_<) but all ultimately rather unsatisfying by BW's standards.

And as I'm only going to play as a FemHawke anyway I really couldn't care less if my LI would be interested in men as well... just so long as she is interested in me!

Yus! Tbh if i had just played the game one time, i could have sworn that Leliana was gay and not bi. Nothing indicates in her backstory that she likes man. Sure she seduced them as part of being a Bard, but i didnt get the impression that her personal preference were man.

Hmmm...depends. Seduce her for what purpose?

She's deluded - and cut off from her old resources - virtually powerless. And she and Lels meant something to one another once. As contemptible as she has become I always think of what must once have been between them.

Marjolaine was not a horrible person. She was training Leliana to be her protege. She figured that Leliana would do what she would have done which makes perfect sense if you trained someone to be like you. She was getting defensive because she thought her life was in danger and she had to strike first. Bards are spies and I imagine she got to the point were she couldn't trust anyone in her profession and Leliana was still all lovey-dovey and naive.



Had I been in Marjolaine's position, I would have done the same thing.

Yeah I know, that's why I said "it ain't happening so let's hope for some awesome bi LIs".

And of course, since I'm only gonna play as F!Hawke too, it won't make any difference if a girl is bi or gay, as long as she's available. But judging by your ME2 comment (which I haven't played), I'm a little worried.

If there was an option to play with that b!tch and betray her, I'd be tempted to do a DA:O run where she was left alive.

EDIT: About the Marjolaine/Ogre comment. Those who know me know that I hate her guts. While I wouldn't ask for an Ogre to do that, well, let's just say I wouldn't care if it happened.

The dwarf romance debate has left me rather worked up, but I think that subject has been talked enough about in this thread. Unless someone disagrees?

I'm not sure if I pitched in enough in the dwarf romance debate. While it wouldn't be my first choice, I wouldn't have a problem with it.



I seriously doubt Bioware would implement it though, given how most people are "eek" about dwarf romances.
