Okay, of all the Bioware fantasy RPG female romances:

The elves are: Aerie, Jaheira, Viconia, Aribeth(x2), Nathyrra
Non-elves are: Morrigan, Leliana

Who am I missing? My memory is bad.

Bastila, Silk Fox, and Dawn Star.

Jaheira and Aribeth are only half-elves, too, by the way.

If it makes you feel any better, the men in romances are almost universally human.  The only exception I can think of is, well, Zevran.

Out of bounds!  Not "Fantasy", but "Sci-Fi" RPG.  Different genre.
(If Elves showed up in ME, the fanbase would scream! Posted Image)

(Sorry, posting out-of-order.)

I make the same observation as I did about the reference to Garrius.  Maybe not human, but not Elves either.
(Oh, but as somone else once pointed out.  "Zevran *is* female, with a dagger in her trousers." Posted Image )

One could definitely argue that ME2 has its feet more into comic book fantasy than sci-fi.

Imagine if Marjolaine had a cameo in DA2 and FemHawke would have to seduce her (or vice versa). What would be your feelings about it/

I hated her the first time I met her, so the only feeling I have is the desire to kill her...yet again. Possibly in a more painful way...

As for the dwarves and elves...I don't particularly care for dwarves. I suppose the height difference is not that big a deal, but their stocky built is a big turn off for me. I wouldn't really mind another elf romance, as long as it's not an annoying **** like Velanna, but ideally I would prefer a human female. I don't care if she's a rogue, warrior, mage or whatever. All I ask is that she is tough enough to kick my ass, feminine but not the girlie-girl type, and not overly religious (Don't get me wrong, I love Leliana, but our attitudes toward religion/the maker/chantry were a constant conflict for me. Morrigan had the perfect attitude in that regard.).

Another non-Elven female LI in a BioWare RPG: Nalia (BG2).

And another (not really, but "technically"): Knower of Names (NWN-HotU)
She is a possible correct response to the question, "Who is my True Love?"

And... another Elven  female: Linu La'neral (NWN).

Wow! Thinking back on all the great, silly, beautiful, scary, ridiculous, and ridiculously awsome  women of BioWare RPGs, I realized that my overall favorite was...

My sister, Imoen!
(Wonder if DA2  will turn out to be the same, in that my favorite female will be Bethany? Posted Image)

*sigh* It'll probably never happen, but...

Femal Qunari. Tal'Vashoth. Warrior class preferably but I suppose it wouldn't matter too much. What I'd really want to see is an in-depth backstory.

Tal'Vashoth would likely have a whole host of reasons for rejecting the Qun and leaving Rivain. I'd really like to see a character that's been exiled - more or less forced into leaving. Someone who would struggle with their beliefs. The Qunari are quite interesting to me because of how extreme their faith is. The Qun literally dictates their entire lives from birth til death with no room for flexibility. I find crisis-of-faith type stories particularly compelling so I suppose it wouldn't be too big a deal if the character were male or female but I think a female Qunari would be especially interesting given their role in society. Rejecting the Qun (or being rejected by the Qun) would likely force her to take up arms in order to survive. Logically she would probably realize that there is no place for her within the strict confines of the Qun, but it would be interesting if she would still struggle with reconciling the realities of her life with the part of her still attached to the Qun. Anyone who grew up in a religious home can attest that even after you leave the faith of your childhood it's still quite hard to completely divorce yourself from your early views.

I suppose the crisis-of-faith model could work within the Chantry as well but I don't know if it would have the same impact. For all the power the Chantry has it doesn't impose rules as strict as the Qun.

Besides, I'm quite interested in seeing a prominent female Qunari.

What can I say? I like 'em tall, dark, and brooding.

Mr. Gaider confirmed no Female Qunari love for FemHawke.

Yeah I'd love a Morrigan-esque attitude girl falling for my FemHawke.

Yeah, apparently they didn't have time to put Female Qunari in the game. Also, I'd say Velanna was pretty much the Elf version of Morrigan, it was a shame she wasn't a romance option in Awakenings. The Elf girl in Witch Hunt was really cool, she'd make a great LI also. But when it comes to post-Main Game characters, nobody beats Sigrun, she's so awesome, if they bring anybody back from the Expansion/DLC and make them an LI I hope its her :) .

I said fantasy RPG, not the sci-fi or just fantasy adventure games like KotOR and JE. And being half-elves doesn't make them any less "elven romance" type. Plus there is Linu.

Throwing Liara and Ashley and Miranda at me just isn't the same subject either, or even male LIs.
Female elven romances are overdone. Deal with it.

Who cares what race she is? Isn't it the personality that matters in a character?

Are you trying to be agreeable? Cut that out! Who cares about personality when you've got pointy ears to nib?

Yes and no. Where they come from and how soceity views them is also a pretty important part of a character. Sometimes it's even more important as it can help form a connection that wouldn't exist otherwise.

To be honest if all I started getting was nobles but with slightly different attitudes I'd never bother with the romances.

What about a Broodmother, with a class A personality?

Ick, i dont think anyone would srsly consider this.
But if u would like to romance an elf just because they are beautiful... thats rather shallow too.

I mean, ye, looks are important. But if that is the only reason u want an elven LI... i think that this is at least a lot of wasted potential.
