What is she fighting?
Don't tell me Dark Spawn went from armor to SM suits...

She does!
But the Darkspawn dont look that bad in game. I played the pc demo and they were pretty cool.
Besides: Most of your enemys shouldnt be darkspawn to beginn with, just in the prologue of the game.

With all due respect, intelligence and personality in a character are most important, yes, but you cannot tell me that a LI's appearance is not important. If she is impossibly ugly, you might accept her as a friend, but you would never feel attracted to her romantically.

I think the love part of the love-hate relationship that Miranda and Jack had was from the imagination of many of the players . Which makes sense, since given the choice many of us would probably end up with Tali, so naturally we'd want Jack and Miranda to end up together, so everybody would be happy. A total win-win .



In regard to the other comment, I agree that the LIs have to meet a certain basic level of attractiveness, the best example of that would be Juhani in KOTOR. I never even considered her to be a possible LI, why would anybody think that way? Aside from the fact that she doesn't have a very good personality, she is extremely unattractive. You can't have an ugly LI, that just doesn't work. Of course ever since KOTOR that hasn't been an issue, and hopefully it won't be anytime soon .

Come to think of it... what I would like to see most of all in an LI is a plot twist that only takes place if you invest in that LI...



Like a character that directly seduces you and ensnares you only for the purpose of betraying you eventually...



Like if Zevran's only real purpose of getting in your pants was to kill you when you were most vulnerable. But I would like her to be female and an LI for both male and female Hawkes... just a thought.

Well, i am a bit of a sucker for the Tevinter Empire since the first time i saw Ostagar.
But i would like the Anderfels too, it should have long mountainallines and Forests'n stuff. And ye well, Weisshaupt is there too, and even if they arent of great importance to DA 2, i'd like to know more about em. And maybe a companion from Anderfels could mention how/if the Grey Wardens inflict the politcs there etc.
Also People from there should have witnessed the Quanriinvasion, but not being direct victims of the war.
I would like to know more about the Quanri and how other look at them. Yup, thats it.

A more "exoctic" locale like Rivian.  Naturally Orleasan women will always have a special place in my *heart but variety from other cultures and regions is a must.

BTW:  I'm playing through again (first time as a DNF) right now,  so I just listened to Leli talk about her own origins. 
She  considers herself Fereldan, not Orlesien(ne). 
Knew there was a reason I had felt that way, but had forgotten it was because she says it herself.

I think a mage LI would be interesting, since it would be particularly relevant to the storyline in DA2 what with the uprising against the Chantry etc etc.





(Also completely biased in this matter because the witch Morigana in Merlin is so flaming hot and makes me want to get some dirty magicking on)

I think the magetheme is already covered with your sister. Tbh i think thats the reason why she is with you, so u have a personal interest in that thing regardless of you LI.
I would still support an mage LI though. ^^

Um yeah, it is Morgana (this is a sign that I have been "looking" rather than "listening" when she comes in screen.  Can you blame me??? Look at her!!)

Yes, even though it is kinda covered with Bethany, it would add a different dynamic to the relationship if she is a mage. (Plus I want to RP like she is Morgana please don't shatter this fantasy)

But you couldn't romance either of them (as a female, without modding).  Anyway, chances are you will get another mage, they wouldn't leave you with only Bethany as the magic user companion. 

+ Whatever annoying traits Morrigan/Wynne had, it didn't arise out of being able to control magic.

Sorry, I was unclear. What I meant was that - after DA:O - having all the party mages be women is something I don't want to see happen again.



If there are going to be three mages, then that would be fine. But with the fact that Hawke can be a mage too (making a potential squad with four mages in it...) I don't think that is likely.
