I'm crossing my fingers for Aveline, really. I'd love a warrior s/s LI, and have you seen her arms? Yum.
That would be awesome... if it wasn't for the whole being married thing...
Should Wesley end up on the "dead" side, I'm sure BioWare could pull off a successful romance without making it obnoxious. As much as everyone tends to hate the "I was married, now I'm not" sort of thing, I haven't ever had a problem with it. Not everyone's going to be single. Plus, it's set over a span of ten years. I wouldn't expect her to mourn all ten of them, especially not if Lady Hawke is willing to listen to her and help her heal. (Surprisingly enough, I didn't mean that as innuendo, haha.)
8| I am disappoint.
I'm on the fence about this. As true as what you say is, I am personally sick of all the married people that suddenly have their spouses die and then Protagonist comes along, and whoooooo!
On the other hand, the only woman I've seen that happen to is Jaheira. So. I wouldn't mind. But I think I mostly just want another married couple in our party.
But if Primary Male Companion Coincidentally Voiced By Sbarge And Was Coincidentally Once Married/Heavily Involved happens again, I will be a sad panda. BW's been doing good with avoiding its own stereotypes lately. Keep up ze good work!
On to the main point: Personally, I loved the girly-girl aspect of Leliana. Now I wouldn't mind changing it up a little with a she-warrior gal. Someone who's tough and doesn't take shiz and can say "You have manflappybits? Nothx." She's big and tough and likes Hawke's ass. All this without being the Dangerously Sexy Lesbian stereotype.
In fact, I want a she-warrior gal no matter what. *makes grabbyhands*
