As I've said before on this thread, I'd rather the options be gay and lesbian if we can't have both gay and bi LI. Maybe it's just me but whenever there's a lesbian love interest, she's always bi.

I see no reason that they would leave out a same sex romance in DA2. They had it in the first one. It is not like Mass Effect where they make it pretty obvious that they have no intention of putting in at least a M/M romance ever and no real human female F/F romance (Kelly doesn't count for the achievement).

Well, we will never know unless BioWare takes the initiative.  Be a real shame if they never do.

I've never experienced that a F/F romance has scared off the "bros". The ones wanting a M/M romance should be more concerned in that case.

Some people uninstalled DA because of Zevran being hitting on them. They want people to buy the game and ANYTHING that risks the bottom line must go.

Which is why we are getting what looks like:  Dragon Effect 2: The darker l33ter part!

Uh... EA didn't publish Mass Effect.

The 360 version was published by Microsoft Game Studios. The PC version was published by EA.

EA had little to do with the original Mass Effect. It was almost done when EA acquired Bioware.

It'd be very much appreciated but that's not their responsibility. They produce escapist fantasies for as many people as there are willing to buy their games.

Social commentary is strictly not ok in most people's eyes especially in things meant to amuse.

Exactly.  That was the Mass Effect dev team deciding to cut the homosexuality out (at least in humans).  I think this is a dev team by dev team decision and has nothing to do with EA which is why expect to see same sex relationships in DA2.  

Plus, Gaider said that EA doesn't control their decision making and you all know he wouldn't lie to us.   Priestly sure, but not Gaider.

I don't see it as forcing social commentary. Just an alternative for those who want it. At the risk of ruining this thread, gamers in general need to get over feeling uncomfortable. I don't avoid books, movies, TV shows, or whatever just because they don't conform to my personal beliefs.
