Romance does not have to be about sex.  I doubt that Shale would be interested in the exchange of fluids that she not longer has, anyway.  Still, I'd rather have Shale than some typical curious spunky human rogue person.

I get what you mean though. Romances are about personality. Shale has lots of it. Sex is a bonus... a very nice bonus!

This idea just dawned to me but I would really enjoy a Dalish LI and since we are going to be delivering a package to the Dalish...  maybe? Please Bioware!

Given the history between the Dalish and humans, I think that could be really romantic maybe with a star crossed lovers theme to their relationship. Her desire to be with her clan could conflict with her interest in Hawke perhaps. I think the timespan of DA2 really opens up a lot of possibilities with relationships evolving too. It'll be interesting seeing how they make use of it.

Yeah but not only that, I've also always wondered what the Dalish's views on homosexuality were. Since elves are not dominant in genes, and the Dalish wish to rebuild and strengthen their culture, I always imagined they put much pressure on reproduction and maybe frowned upon same sex relations.

It is stated in here that certain circles of Fereldan society do indeed frown upon same-sex relation, amongst them the city-elves, for the reasons you stated.

I'm not sure if the dalish would share the same view, but it is very probable.

Don't forget that at the end of DAO Shale goes off to find a way to become a regular Dwarf again. So if she were in DA2 it probably wouldn't be as a Golem, it would be as a dwarf. That would pretty much make her the ideal 'returning character' since she would simultaneously be someone everybody knows, but at the same time given that she would have a new body and voice it'd be like having a new team member at the same time. If her new appearance and voice is as awesome as Sigrun's she'd make a fantastic LI .

Definitely, it's just a pity you can't play as a dwarf, I'd to see how any intimate scenes might be depicted in that scenario.

I want a strong warrior female. She can be elf, qunari, human, I don't really care, but I want her to be less light and fluffy then Lelianna. And I can do without the obligatory side order of crazy in the Bi female LIs
