But wait, I think there's a character like that already... Oh, Bethany. And Hawke can't romance her sister, so darn on that, I guess.

Well... eh, no, Bioware would never let it happen.

No incest with boob bandanna girl and I'm quite content with it staying that way. If they let me I'm going to be making fun of her all the time.

Hawke:Hi
Random Npc: Why hello there? *totally ignores Hawke and stares at Bethany* What brings such a lovely woman to Kirkwall
Bethany:We're running from...
Hawke:*cuts her off* Her deranged ex boyfriends who vowed to slay anyone who lay a single finger on her magical bosom.
Bethany: SISTER!!! I told you not to tell anyone...
Hawke:

So are we setting for a blonde psycho warrior with great sense of humor and inconceivable sexual desire?

I'm trying to get my mind around what "inconceivable" means in this context.  I keep running into the "Princess Bride" scenario...

"Unquenchable" would have been more in line with my preferences.
(But a funny, blonde, psycho warrior is definitely fine by me!  Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image )

I don't know about *completely* psycho. Maybe delightfully twisted would work better for me.

WE haven't talk about how we want her to express her feelings for our Hawke yet have we?....

Well... we've done the reticent, uncertain thing. It is a plot convenience to allow the romance to be teased out across the narrative. I'd like to see an LI who wants to jump on you from the off... but some impediment prevents this. Hmm... perhaps she's been forced into an arranged marriage and she feels duty bound to not act on her desires despite feeling nothing for her husband/wife...

Will it be a good idea if by the time FemHawke meets our LI, they have already had a history? Like they crossed their paths/blades on several occasions before DA 2 events. That can lead to a series of hilarious or rather dramatic dialogue convos, plus we won't need to bother about introductions and getting to know each other part.

No, i am no big fan of such a thing. It would predefine Hawks personality hence she/he already responded in a certain way. A way u cant influence during the course of the game.
But since the storyark of the game spans 10 years I would be perfectly fine if u meet your later LI (and companion) a few times already, during the early game. This way u can reflect over the personality of the potention LI better, since she isnt "influencend" by being in your party. Kinda like Silk Fox. U meet/hear from her a few times, but she accompanies u only a bit later in the game. Thats something i like.

Actually I now find it tough to replay Jade Empire because I find it an utter grind having to trudge through all the stuff prior to Silk Fox becoming a party member!

I don't think meeting someone you already have history with means that your character has to be set in stone... in fact the meeting could potentially be used to choose aspects of your characters personality.

Imagine bumping into that person and after the initial greetings she were to start saying "Hey! Do you remember that time we..." and the player then had the option to complete her sentence:
a. saved that kitten from a burning house?
b. taught Rebecca from the village how to fish?
c. stole apples from old man Jenkins' orchard?
d. kicked that wrinkly old nun into the swamp?

And so on.

Best way to have a new romance develop during the story. ;)
