It would be nice if more devs allowed mods on consoles a la Unreal Tournament 3. The PS3 can handle it. 360 on the other hand I'm not very sure about. Still, it'd be great.

I agree with this. It actually felt like bisexuality was what made up Leliana's personaility. Not like other games with f/f romances where it just feels like it was tossed in with no explanation what so ever. Leliana didn't just sleep with women she had actually fallen deeply in love with one and had been betrayed in the end. Her bisexuality is the whole basis of her background. I'm a dude an I even found it somewhat cute to see her curled up next to another woman.
 
Thats also what made me mad about Zevran, if you pursued a m/m romance with him it didn't feel right. It felt more like men for him was just something that he did on the side and he perferred to love a woman more than a man. I can see him sleeping with a man sure, but loving one no.

So much this.

I want to add though, that i dont necarccerly need the s/s LI to have a prior relationship with the same sex, like it was the case with Leliana. Sure, it was awesomely done, and i loved it, but it dont want to see to much repeative stuff.

But what i really want(!) to see is that the bisexuality of someone influences the personality and the thoughts of someone. Even if the person in questions grew up in a sociaty that just sees s/s relationships as odd (as in ferelden etc) and doesnt shun it, it will be for sure on the mind of that person and influences the behaviour. Hell, i should know. Its not so much that that person will question the morality or some other "political correctness" stuff about a s/s relationship, if its not an issue in said country. But bisexul people for sure think more about the personality that someone has, and less about gender, at least that is my experience. That doesnt imply others are not doing so, or that bi people dont care about appereance or w/e. For sure not. ^^

Just that the fact of being bi let you look differently at others and often grants some insights others dont get. And i really want to see that stuff in a s/s LI. Not just an Dev enabling the romance conversations that are there for one gender, switched on for the other gender too.

Man, I tried reading through this entire thing, but it took a while. (It wouldn't stop growing!)  I got to about page thirty and then skipped ahead to the last two.  So, in order, I will comment upon that which I have read.

I too, want would like to see a lady that would take charge.  The idea of a strong woman who knows what she wants and seduces my femhawk is just , but then so was Leliana.  I'll grant, she did have some issues, but really, so do most of us.  And really, dear lord, I agree, that woman's voice could melt the polar ice caps, and when it did I would not be mad at her for it.  I would just ask her to talk some more.  Also, hearing her just go off on tangents about stories and factoids, like when I asked her about Redcliffe and she started wondering about how Redcliffe got its name just :wub:!  Seriously, every time I played through the game, even when playing through with the intent to try other romances, I always had to work hard to stop myself from just romancing her.  So, yeah.  I'm really excited about Isabella since I liked what her personality hinted at in the first game (No, not just the three-way.  That was actually a bit of a surprise.  There I was, just goofing off not thinking anything would actually come of it when suddenly it presented itself as an actual option and then...what can I say?  I'm weak.), and she's being written by the same person.  As for the female Qunari, the only problem I see with that is all Qunari are not like Sten.  (Wynne:  "Are all Qunari as quiet as you are?"  Sten:  "Are all mages as chatty as you?")  So, really, despite that fact that I can imagine various advantages to a romance option having horns, I think what I'd really like as far as that's concerned is not a romance option that is a Qunari, but one that is serious and taciturn, if socially awkward in her own way, like Sten.  Perhaps we could have a non-Qunari from an area of Thedas the Qunari conquered but was later freed that still retains many of the teachings of the Qun.  This could give us a woman who believes in the Qun without raising the question why a woman who adheres to the Qun would fight.

So now I'm thinking a strong, serious, thoughtful and taciturn, socially awkward in her own way adherent of the Qun (perhaps one who, having left her home, is attempting to learn what she feels her lands have lost of the Qun who finds herself instead/also trying to reconcile what she learned of the Qun with what she experiences in the world) who knows she likes women and takes steps to romance/seduce my femhawke.  I am amused by the idea of her only showing interest in the party before a certain point if the player is female or has a female companion in the party.

Also, I am sorry anyone had to play this on the console.  One of my best friends played it on the console, and every time he saw it on my laptop, he died a little on the inside.  No skill bar?  No selecting summons?  No isometric view?  No mods?  I mean, really, no mods?  I mean I liked the game, but I really like the game with rogues whose AI automatically makes them flank, tactics options that allow you to automate casting revival, a crow that lets me respec my character in Origins whenever I like, tootips that give me hard numbers instead of vague ability descriptions, a storage chest in my camp, toussled hair, sex scenes that are not composed of awkward underwear dry-humping, a number of bugfixes that never came out in patches, white teeth, the option to skip the fade my third time through,  the ability to bash locks, and a Leliena that does not look like Imoen from Baldur's Gate II (because, I really, really liked Leliana, and I though she was very pretty, but she just made me feel like I was comitting incest with her default face), and I don't think I could play a version of the game now without them.  All you console gamers, you have my utmost sypathies.  Also, playing in bed on your laptop works just fine.

Gee Mage One as a console player your post brought a tear to my eye but i am with you on Leliana.I know some people didnt like it but i loved talking to Leliana about shoes , hair and her fruit . i fell in love with her. I did romance everyone once but Leliana lots! I hope for an other girl to fall for this time around.

Do we have a specific number for how many party companions DA2 will have? That might give us a clue as to our chances of getting a second f/f option...

I'm going to guess there's only one F/F option for DA2, and Isabela's it. I would be very happy to be wrong about the first part. Still, I like to think anything we talk about here has a decent chance of influencing the writers to some degree in the next game they work on. Also, talking about different opinions and options is kind of fun.

Yeah, that's my gut feeling too.  Here's to hoping I'm wrong.  

Possible companions: Bethany, Carver, Varric, Isabela, Aveline and.....unknown.  Definitely a lot more room for others considering the 10 year time span.

Agreed! If we want more than one f/f LI in a BW game then we need to make clear that there is a genuine desire to see this happen. It doesn't mean we'll ever get it... but if you don't ask then you'll never know, amiright?
