If it makes you better, there's no cutscene or anything. She just wonders were her mother is and that's it. However, my Warden slept with Darren, so maybe there's a different if you romance Iona?

That would be really cool...as long as she was not like Anora. Maybe an Antivan noble woman?
I'd love to romance a noble woman like Anora.

I was unaware that our tastes were that different... in this context.
Then again, despite conversing with you for almost a year now, I would not hazard to guess what your tastes are.

Heh, I was mostly riffing on how we had our differring thoughts regarding Leliana.
Though it's true: you never ask, mon ami! ...Or course that street goes two ways, so pot-kettle there.

You know, you could just change her hair to black. Or is gingerness something that shines through a color job?

I shall have to dig up the question thread some day.

It's the same regardless of who you slept with (and if I'm correct, the girl shows up in the Alienage regardless of the origin you played).
And it's actually a rather lame encounter indeed. There's no dialog option or anything, just her comment. It's still heartbreaking though.
As for romancing Anora, that would've also been an interesting option. You could argue that's the closest thing there was in DA:O to an NPC romance, seeing how males could marry her (albeit in a political marriage). Still, some of her comments suggest that she might fall for the HNM eventually.
Something like that but more fleshed out could work as an NPC romance. Or what Selene said about Iona being rescued by Duncan and then returning to the Alienage.

I suspect this can mostly be blamed on her hair colour.

(Sorry if my attempt to provide some help came across as condescending.
And I can confirm that it's the same semi-tragic bit of dialogue regardless of which Origin you play. (I say "semi-tragic" because for any Warden other than a HN, we have no idea who/where her mother might be. Could still be a refugee somewhere for all we know...)
Oh, and romancing Anora is a very attractive option, right up until she thinks a different deal is a better one. I liked her in the early cutscenes when she confronts her father. Liked her more during her rescue, and found the idea of becoming her consort (and I hope co-monarch, "You need someone strong to help you...") intriguing. With the right mod installed, she certainly seemed... receptive to the advances of my DNF. But then she declined with a sigh saying it would never be acceptable to the rest of Fereldan Nobility, (the racist prigs!)
Have to try again as a HNF!
But if you don't deal with her juuuuuuust right, [sudden thought: Does Anora have a hidden Approval scale?] she hops to another horse at the Landsmeet, leaving you without your most persuasive ally. The biotch!

Anora wasn't a fighter, she was just a political dealer who was rather helpless by herself. If she can back up her backstabbing with actual backstabbing then I would be all for her. The element of danger makes it more exciting.Maria Caliban wrote...

Dont worry Thandal you did`nt come across as condescending at all . I know you were trying to be helpful .I am sorry if you got a vibe of my return post but it was just dissappointment with myself . I felt terrible when Iona couldn`t be saved leaving her daughter an orphan but after reading your post ( at the risk of sounding stupid again ) i think i did meet her without realizing who she was .Also i am a clean freak so the stupid corner is a bit cleaner now you never know when i`ll have to go back again .

I have been very pleased at how "on-topic while remaining living-room appropriate" the conversations here have been. Let's all (moderators and players alike) keep up the good work and not let the immature few deface this public square.
