First game? Very first? I think Pong on the Atari. I remember some text computer game, but pong was pretty mind blowing.
Fast forward a few years, I kicked butt at centepede, but I was so glad when games at home got good enough I no longer had to pay a quarter per game. That got really expensive.

Blackjack/Golf/Racer on the Odyssey (the poor man's Atari).
But I first considered myself a gamer with the first Zelda game. I can still probably pick up a controller and be able to get the Master Sword before getting past the third dungeon, or get the Blue Ring before getting the Magic Whistle. Not to mention the "Zelda" name cheat...
