Well I dont trust people that much and the thought of turning an OG to someone who says dont follow me, and I dont trust you isint my idea of safe.

Besides Simon T just rocks in the end.

No way am I killing off Loghain.

Out of all the characters from Origins his cameo in Awakening was the best. Hell, he even gives you a magic item asa present.

Way more than you get from Alistair or Wynne.

LOL - Wish I could tell Morrigan that I was actually thinking of asking Aliaster/Loghain to do the killing blow until I spoke to her. After talking to her, I am looking forward to die :P

When romancing Morrigan, she tells me:
I do not seek to control you, if our path are the same then so be it. It not, so be it.

I thought: Kewl!

Then when she offer the DR,

Warden: Will I see you again?
Morrigan: No.
Warden: Will I see the child?
Morrigan: No.
Warden: Will you tell me more?
Morrigan: I do not wish to tell you. So will you do it?
Warden: Umm.. No.
Morrigan went berserk: Then you are a fool! You will throw your life away blah blah !#$^$%&$%%^$%$
Warden:o:O:O wha..? But... you said you will not control me or force me !??
Morrigan: I am a female and I am entitled to hypocrisy! ^_^
Warden:o:O:O

Except no, she's really not controlling you or forcing you to do anything. She just leaves. That's all.

Sarah, she's female and showing emotion. She must therefore either be hysterical, hypocritical, manipulative, or all of the above. (As opposed to, you know, disappointed and upset and trying desperately to hide both behind anger.)

I just like Leliana's view on the subject: 'I'm female, therefore I reserve the right to be inconsitent.'

Yeah she was a walking bundle of annoying cliches and stereotypes.

Oh, I hated that line, particularly on my female Wardens. They were all "You know what, that's not cute, that's insulting. Way to totally ruin the mood, there. Image IPB"

I'm a sucker for a heart-breaking romance. I always have been. I love it when either death or duty seperate two people, and I'm not entirely sure why.. I adore films like Romeo and Juliet (obviously), etc etc.. so yes, I love the Ultimate Sacrifice. It just gives so much depth and meaning to the game, and I still feel the Dark Ritual is a somewhat cheap and spoiled way of getting out of duty.

Each to their own, though!

Yes - it has the best ending, imo.

It's depends on Origin Im playing, and my PC character.
i.e my evil, manipulative mage Lilith, who hate Chantry, Templars and is a fan of blood magic, do DR ( she and Morrigan are best friend). In opposite my noble and paladin-like Aerielle Cousland don't trust Morrigan and  choosed US ending. My City Elf  hate humans and she kill them every time she have chance for that, even poor , wounded soldier in a Korcari Wilds..so she made Anora a Queen, let her execute Alistair, and sacrificed Loghain to save her own life...

I like this particular ending the best as it sort of suits me, but with Awakening and two other post-game DLC's you practically are forced to metagame this choice one way or another.

Why? All of the things post-Origins have let you play an Orlesian Warden and it's not like there has been much carry-over to be annoyed at missing with an Orlesian.

Nope. I did the ending the first time with a good guy male character (no romance), and he still took the dark ritual. Not only did he want to live, but he couldn't be sure that he'd be the one to get to the archdemon, and he didn't want his buddy (and future king), Alistair, to die, either. He did the ritual himself, even though he was worried about the cost. My female characters do the same for those reasons, but also to have a future with him. They don't feel real good about it, or about asking it of Alistair, but it seems worth it to them. Alistair takes a little more convincing, but I never use 'persuade.'

I also never spare Loghain to do it, and can't imagine doing so.

You miss out on a couple of things, the Orlesian Warden's world might not reflect your own and the fact that it is unlikely that they will let you import multiple saves into one DA2 game (Origins and all DLC during and before it + Awakening and everything else post-Origins).

Depends on the character. Most don't, whether for pragmatism, friendship, or simply because they let the other be sacrificed.

I think my only US character so far has been a misanthrope City Elf who realized that while her hatred of humans would inevitably detract whatever gains she might make, in death as a Grey Warden martyr she wouldn't be able to lose those gains.
