[Hex of Hell]

I know that this question has been asked before. I found probably 30 threads asking about it in my quest for answers via the search function. However almost all of them were quite literally from yesteryear and I didn't think it would be right to bump them. They also didn't answer my question. So here it is.

I only recently realized that a few of my achievements - Master of the Peak and Rock and a Hard Place, and Recruiter as well, though that's not DLC - looked like they had unlocked but actually hadn't. Looking through old threads I learned that this was common. Some said something about a patch coming, but since I play online everytime I play, I don't see how I could not have got it if it existed. Others recommended recovering the affected gamertag, but there were conflicting reports on whether this would work or not. And, I'm concerned whether doing this will in any way remove any of my in game perks from Journeys or from Collector's Edition, etc. or make them disappear. Obviously, as much as I like achievements, I would much rather keep my gear than get an achievement. i still know I unlocked it regardless. But if someone can confirm that this works risk free, or if it doesn't work, what does, I would greatly appreciate it.
