Mass Effect 2 to 3 Save Game Transfer Question

This has made me concerned about how information for Mass Effect 2 will be transferred to 3. I was unable to complete the loyalty missions for Kasumi, Zaeed, or Legion before I entered the Omega 4 Relay and thus completed them afterwords. The same goes for pretty much all DLC. I am really concerned that because I made these decisions late in game they will not transfer over to Mass Effect 3, which really concerns me especially surrounding such major choices such as Legion's Loyalty Mission.
Has any information been revealed about this so far?

The system with ME2 is different from
ME1. ME1 made a final save just after Shepard emerges from the wreckage
with everything stored in that and that's the save used to export. ME2
on the other hand has a flag that only becomes activated once the game
is complete and this goes for any save file made post suicide mission.
It's also the same flag that ME2 itself recognises for a NewGame+
import. ME3 will (supposedly) recognise any and all save files that have
this flag as active. Being able to play the DLC post suicide mission is
the main reason BioWare made the game open-ended with ME2, after seeing
how it was an issue with ME1, because they knew players wouldn't want
to have their Shepard's stuck before the point of no return waiting for
the DLC. The next DLC --Lair of the Shadow Broker-- and future
story-related DLC will be designed to bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3
and help set up the final part, and is actually going to be designed to
play post-ending.
This seems to come up a lot. Perhaps there should be a sticky thread at the top of the page about this?
