Well, there are very few situations if any where there is pure good or evil. Maybe Shepard is the real bad guy.

It's all a matter of perspective.

That being said - I hardly think we are going to waltz into the Shadow Broker's living quarters and dispense justice. The Shadow Broker isn't just your local thug like Fist of Chora's Den infamy. They are a genius. I'm sure they have an ace up their sleeve. I wouldn't be surprised if we confront 'The Broker' and kill them and it just turns out to be a double acting under orders. The ultimate kind of protection.

On a side-note I'm surprised we weren't tasked to recruit the SB for the Suicide Mission against the Collectors. Maybe they wouldn't have come in person, but they could have 'joined' the party in a way similar to Goto from Knight of the Old Republic 2.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/G0-T0

G0-T0's actions, while illegal, did aid the Republic in rebuilding
itself. Its smuggling ring caused the deaths of destabilizing persons or
organizations, developed unofficial profits for entire sectors, and
strengthened Republic worlds that would otherwise be poor and ignored.
Believing also that the major source of the Republic's problems revolved
around the Jedi/Sith conflict, it also enacted bounties for live Jedi and Sith. Many bounty hunters,
who misinterpreted the bounty, simply killed Jedi and Sith instead of
capturing them, failing to realize that they were worth nothing to G0-T0
dead. It was searching for a live Jedi or Sith to aid him in preserving
the Republic.

Maybe the Broker is Goto. LOL

hahahahaha I remember this thread! It made sense at the time but it turns out the Shadow Broker was just trying to get in with the Collectors to protect himself from the reapers.

Long story short our new SB is a whole lot hotter ^^

Wow, talk about a Necromancer here. Yeah, this just shows how as rational and reasonable speculation may be, it's still just speculation until we have evidence and can be far off the mark.

Maybe he was good and had good intentions... Though he tried to pawn off my body so I eviserated him when I got better.

No hard feelings.

I've never considered the SB to be a bad guy; just an antagonist.

Well now that we have much better information, we know that this isn't the first shadowbroker, so it may be his predecessor wasn't evil. Keeping someone alive and conscious and in pain indefinately simply to torture them isn't exactly 'good.'

Neither is running or maintaining an intelligence empire based on spying, bribery, extortion, blackmail, and selling to the highest bidder.
